If he ends up playing at all I'm betting it won't be until at the very end of the season. AFAIK missing a month of training can set a player back several months, missing the entire summer and then some? Yeah...we'll be lucky to see him suit up in Loveland.

Any word on Jost? Regardless of the way he's been playing, losing him for any length of time would drain a lot of skill out of this lineup. Our likely callups are Greer, LOC and Dries, and none of those guys are likely to do more than make our third third line into a true 4th line.

Offensively Greer wouldn't be a drop from Jost the way the latter has been playing lately. Defensively Jost was playing really well though. It sucks for Jost. Sitting a game might have been good for him but being injured is not what he needs right now. Hopefully it is not serious.

Brutal. This is really the last thing he needed right now. Anyone have video or know the exact play he got injured?

Speaking of which, what is Compher's status? He has now been out a couple of weeks since he was injured in the Calgary game.

This was his last shift. He went off for a change after. Stat sheet says he took another shift late in the third, but it was Ghetto not Jost.

Looks like might have taken some incidental contact up high from Duchene (of course) but it's hard to tell. The stick got up high it looked like. Didn't seem like much but this was the only time he took any real contact during the game.

Maybe it's not a concussion but a badly broken nose or something? Where he could have played but they just decided to sit him anyway. :crossfing

Next up on the injury block, Kerfoot. Come on down! Because who needs secondary scoring anyway?

Just heard Bednar during his weekly interview on 92.5, and he said that Andrighetto got "banged up" over the weekend and could miss some time. No specifics. Great...:(

Another update, Compher is going to skate again this morning, and if that goes well, he'll practice in a non-contact jersey. It's "possible" he'll make the road trip.

You know how broken bones come back stronger and thicker? Someone needs to put Ghetto inside a meat grinder so all his bones break. After a year recovery we have a stronger, thicker Ghetto

He will. Him being on the avs all season will allow players on the eagles to remain on the eagles all season.
If he misses time, he will probably be sent to the eagles to get back in game shape. He should be sent there regardless because he's been useless.

Who exactly will replace jost in the lineup that is going to be better?
Well considering he has 1 goal in 11 games, with a ton of time on the 2nd line and PP1, the bar isn't very high.

Soderberg and probably Kamenev would be better choices.

I don't agree Jost should be 4th line LW, either. He's not a bottom 6 player. He's a top 6 player who needs to find his footing. The AHL is a great spot for him to get some top minutes and produce offensively.

Jost isn't even close to what the team needs in a 2c. He needs to reset and try again after some AHL time.
