Pitchers would be in mid-season form. Higher chance of the public paying attention. Right now the WBC is more like the World Cup of Hockey in terms of international significance.

You completely missed the point.

In a vacuum, sure, it'd be ideal for the WBC. But it's an MLB & MLBPA event, and it would not be good for the league, it's 30 teams, and it's 1200 members...

Just got back from the game and that was a memorable experience. Wish I had seen the ball off the bat on Stanton's homer, unfortunately my view was partially obstructed due to people changing seats in the middle of the AB.

The Jones catch was phenomenal. Our section went nuts and somehow a chain reaction started where one guy fell down into me causing to fall into my buddy and the momentum caused us to fall into the stairs. Thankfully no injuries, just a bizarre moment. One second I'm celebrating the catch, the next I'm rolling down the stairs.
