West isn't good but a big part of it is him wanting to be a star. Marquez, Bucknor and Angel are 3 off the top of my head who are worse.

Lamb comes through with a shot off the foul pole

My biggest complaint about Melvin when he was here was his feel on when to take pitchers out. Is that still an issue?

i wouldn't say that's been an issue with melvin during his A's tenure

aside from the kid doing gymnastics in the seat next to me and the guy in my section with a vuvuzela, it was a good time in that stupid airplane hangar they call a stadium.

He does a bit, imo, but that's what makes him such a players manager. Players respect him for giving them a bit longer leash.

Graveman should have been pulled after Cruz's hit and Coloumbe should have faced Alonso, but other than that, no biggie.

Getting sick of Montero, how the guy is still in the majors I have no clue, I know there is no depth + injuries but the guy can barely pitch 4-5 innings, nibbles too much and doesn't throw strikes

really thought cotton was going take that next step forward after the impressive showing he put on at the end of last season

he's been so unimpressive this season. he's got a lot of work to put in this offseason

it's not that he doesn't want to be in anaheim. it just seems like he's over playing baseball. the vast majority of his AB's this season have been swing at a couple pitches in the dirt and strike out or hit a weak grounder to the left side. he's not even trying anymore

That's what happens you have 100 million facing you one way or another.

Dick Vitale on a LIVE PERISCOPE rambling about how Joe West shouldn't be suspended

Joe West is a mook

He deserves some time off

Yet another game where a Mariners SP can't even get to 5 innings pitched. So much stress on a bullpen.

Big enough lead and the A's are not great (These 2017 A's are not exactly the 2003 A's), so they might be able to get away with it.

Contreras was a huge factor in the Cubs being relevant again. Injury to him would damper their hopes

The Giants are 4-1 against teams that would make the playoffs if the season ended today (ARZ/CHC) since Pablo Sandoval returned.

Coincidence?

Potentially no Contreras for a 3 game series at Arizona, a team that beat the Cubs 2 of 3 last week and has one of the 3 best home records this season.

And suddenly, the Brewers are not out of it in the NL Central. After this Twins series, they get 3 games vs. the Reds and 2 at home vs. a Pirates team they have owned at Miller Park.

And then there's the Cardinals.
