Altuve is my AL MVP frontrunner.

It would be ridiculous if Trout won it with this many games missed and not likely approaching the stats of last year.

If he did, we might as well rename it the Most War Award.

Gio Gonzalez is just amazing. Fwiw and it means basically nothing, he's got a 2.59 era which is 4th in baseball just behind the legendary Chris sale who has a 2.57 era

Again era doesn't paint the whole picture but it's shocking how well he's doing

December 23, 2011: Gio Gonzalez traded by the Oakland Athletics with Robert Gilliam (minors) to the Washington Nationals for A.J. Cole, Tommy Milone, Derek Norris and Brad Peacock.

Peacock, who broke out this year, got them Lowrie, but I think that was like 2 Lowrie trades ago, lol.

Also, White Sox up 4-0 over the Astros. Woof...

While the Mariners are not gonna catch the Astros (with King Felix and one of their relievers on the DL), Houston is only gonna be about 6.5 games on the Red Sox for AL HFA.

the Gio trade was a good one for the A's

Cole was eventually traded back to WAS in the trade that got the A's Jaso, who was dealt a few years later for Zobrist, who eventually turned into Manaea

They got a couple decent seasons out of Milone in 12 and 13

Same with Norris who eventually became Hahn

And Peacock became Lowrie (the first time around)
