Marchand Bergeron Heinen

Bjork Krejci Pastrnak

DeBrusk Backes Nash

Vatrano Kuraly Acciari

Schaller

(JFK by January and Backes to RW and Nash to 4th line)

Moore signs delete Schaller

Lot of Blidh on 4th

Chara McAvoy

Krug Carlo

Killer McQuaid

O'Gara

I bet this is pretty close to what we see come October, though I'd expect them to sign one qualified NHL vet rather than go with all of those kids. That's an entire 4th line of kids with two additional kids in the top 6, both of which could easily fall on their faces in camp. It's a decent squad, though young and probably 1-2 top 9 forwards from being a contender for anything.

It does underscore though just how awful that Backes contract is. He's likely looking at 3RW. $30M for 3RW who probably won't score much more than 20 goals, if that. That's really bad.

Not seeing much of Forsbacka Karlsson in your line-up, I thought he looked good in the small amount of games he played. A lot of rookies, I doubt all of them will crack the roster in the same time, if we can learn one thing from the Pens it's how well they developed their prospects, last year Rust and Sheary came out of nowhere playing along proven vets, this season Rowney, Guentzel and Wilson have top minutes in playoffs, you just can't throw all the kids at the same time imo.

Maybe so. But I believe most posters feel that keeping both is duplicative and the team is better served by exposing one or both in the expansion draft.

One will certainly be exposed

Agree with you some see duplication but to me not as much as they think

Killer is getting better by the month

McQuaid had a very good year - my nephew tells me his analytics were outstanding actually both McQuaid & Killer are rated very highly by the 'moms basement scouting community'

I'd keep both if I could

Both? C Miller would be my guy to expose ,no big loss there. The other two have trade value at least if you want them gone so bad.

It's scary to think what the D would be without one of the two.

To many young puppies coming up on the D side need some snarl there as well. Z can do just so much at this point

Explain to me why C. Miller is the obvious choice? He had the highest Corsi% 5 v. 5 in the the entire league based on guys that played over 800 minutes. He's significantly younger, on a better contract, and brings more offensively than either K. Miller or McQ. Is he the player those guys are currently? No. But when he's 29 or 30, I would expect a much better player than either of those guys. It wouldn't be ideal to lose K. Miller, but he can be replaced in time. If you keep C. Miller, the RHD is set for the foreseeable future.

Could also be a moot point as they may trade for a defenseman.

I think one of Krejci's wingers will be aquired this summer and the other will be a rookie. That's a damn good bottom 6.

Yuk. 3rd line could be the slowest in the league. Setting Debrusk for failure. No thank you.

People should not read anything into Iginla buying a house here. He enrolled his kid locally and clearly must plan to move here in retirement. Surely if he intends to play any longer he could manage 1-2 years on the road.

Related, I want no part of him here. Doesn't make any sense to me.

TSn dudes said the same. Essentially his kids are good hockey players and he wanted them to have best opportunity to succeed. I see him in NY or NJ but not Boston.

You already have it figured out. Lets keep him and give him a raise, he deserves it.

I don't see that team making the playoffs. A lot of guys with contracts missing from this line up. I can see the Bruins burying Jimmy Hayes in Providence for a year but where's Vatrano, Beleskey, Spooner?

I'd love to see this lineup. There's too many people proposing these rookie loaded rosters. The team will make a deal for a veteran somewhere along the way.

That 4th line would legit get beat to a pulp. I absolutely hate the idea of a soft 4th line like that. Gross.
