Funny.

People have been complaining for years about trading away roster players for draft picks, and seemingly getting nothing in return

Now we trade draft picks for bonafide players, and they still aren't happy

6-8 years ago they were bonafide, particularly Stemp. But in 2016, you really can't make that argument about these guys.

Pressure on Bruins to play well and pick up a lot of points in March is now officially HUGE.

2,3,4,5 rounders for two rentals. LE poised to walk for nothing or maybe a 6 (a la Yeti)

Just a reminder to all, what we face:

8 playoff teams.
4 non playoff teams.

6 home games in which we suck.
5 away games (including West Coast)

HOME
CAL 27
CHI 2
WAS 1
FLA 7
CAR 21
NYI 11

AWAY
SJ 14
ANA 8
NYR 11
NJ 18
TOT 30

They go to LA also

Agreed. This isn't about Loui. It's about Seguin and how their reactionary, heat of the moment deal ****ed this franchise up in a big way. They're going to grossly overpay a declining player just to say they still have something to show for it now that Morrow has been completely devalued by Claude.

The thing many are forgetting when saying they still can re-sign Lou is that all the advantage is gone, Lou has that now and there is now way he'll sign anything close to 4x 5.25M.

This is a win year for them, somehow they think that's possible, brutal.

I would assume this is what we will see for the playoffs if they get there

Eriksson-Krejci-Pastrnak
Marchand-Bergeron-Stempniak
Beleskey-Spooner-Connolly
Rinald-Talbot/Ferraro-Hayes

Chara-Seidenberg
Krug-Mcquaid
Liles-K Miller

It really does remind me of the Zanon, Rolston, Redden, Mez, garbage type pick ups

Relax on the picks. We have a ton of picks and prospects. We need to develope players not pick more that we won't see for 4 years. People value picks too much. They rarely amount to anything. Stempniak is a nice upgrade. Liles is meh but he can't make our d worse. The real changes will happen in the offseason

Right and the Bruins just burned 5 draft picks(counting Rinaldo) and a prospect that could have been used in packages to make the real changes.

Another thing that people are forgetting is that by not extending Eriksson he is still on a contract year.

We will get his full effort for the remainder of the season.
