Don't really get the hate. Aside from being too high on our depth chart for how he's performed, he really doesn't deserve it imo.

If Neil wasn't here and Chiasson was our 4th line RW getting Neil's mins (and we had an adequate 3rd liner) nobody would care.

Wish him the best, I imagine he'll put in some more years as a bottom 6 plug with the occasional glimpse of more.

Chiasson is one of the worst regular NHL players. Happy to see the team willing to make a change and give a chance to someone else. Reality is we can't possibly get someone who does worse than he did.

The guy was costing us over and over again by taking so many penalties.

Pittsburgh insulated the everloving **** out of him in the playoffs.

Still, he'll probably catch on somewhere for $1.5-2 mil on a 1-2 year deal.

That's crazy. BOS gives up two 2nds for him about a year ago and now he is gone.
