I'm actually embarrassed for these West Ham players. People can whine about injuries all day, but they're going out to some Romanians that just lost 5-1 at the weekend. Shambles.

West Ham lose at home to Astra, same team which eliminated them last season only this time they put out a stronger side

**** West Ham. Get your **** together. 2 years in a row they bow out in embarrassing fashion. It should make me happy but it's destroying the coefficient.

West Ham's just trying to one up Hertha's embarrassing EL-quali failure.

I'm very curious as to how much Southampton put into this tournament, as they do not have an easy group, both in terms of opponents and travel. Although Inter are off to a brutal start to the year

I was planning my annual Thanksgiving football roadtrip to be a Holland-Belgium combo this year.
Panathinaikos will be playing in Amsterdam on Thanksgiving day.
This may be the happiest moment of my life.

Squad travelled:

De Gea, Romero, Johnstone;
Darmian, Bailly, Blind, Fosu-Mensah, Rojo, Smalling;
Carrick, Fellaini, Herrera, Mata, Memphis, Pogba, Schneiderlin, Young;
Ibrahimovic, Martial, Rashford.

Rooney rested for Sunday, according to Jose. Mickemouse is re-injured his thigh in the derby, Phil Jones is out for a month due toe knee injury (what else is new...). Shaw, Valencia and Lingard didn't travel either. So that could mean a lineup like this:

--------------Zlatan----------------
Memphis-----------------------Young
----------Pogba----Herrera----------
-----------Schneiderlin--------------
Blind----Smalling----Bailly----Darmian
--------------De Gea---------------

Or this:

--------------Zlatan----------------
Martial--------------------Rashford
--------------Pogba-----------------
------Herrera------Carrick---------
Rojo--Smalling---Bailly--Darmian
--------------De Gea---------------

Mourinho says Rojo likely to start at LB.

Liberec off to a good start, getting a goal against Qarabag in the first minute, but then the Azeris tied it up in the 7th. Too bad away goals don't have the same weight in the group stage..

De Kuip is a loud, hostile and intimidating place to play in. However, Feyenoord cut their available seats to 30.000, because the club and fans are on thin ice with UEFA.

It's worth noting that Feyenoord have started this season off quite brightly, and bring some very talented young Dutch players with a mix of experience in the side. They'll not be a walk over for any team I think in this competition.

Leon Bailey with an opening goal for Genk. I've only seen a few of his games, and his personal highlights, but he looks very good to me. Great dribbling, great speed, makes some really nice passes/crosses and has a nose for goal. Interested to see where he ends up and how high he goes.

Zenit losing 2:0 in Israel to Maccabi, they haven't been good so far to start the season under Lucescu

Feyenoord score, but there was an offside not called in the build up to the goal

Sassuolo winning 3:0 now over Bilbao, somewhat surprising considering the two club's Euro pedigrees
