Man, that's sad to hear about Hajduk. I'm a Shakhtar fan, so I obviously am partial to Srna.

Despite playing with 10 men for most of second half, Videoton won 1:0 in Denmark after 90 minutes and have forced extra time. IFK Goteborg win 2:0 in Finland and eliminate HJK despite losing the first leg at home

Lille are out, losing to Gabala of Azerbaijan in Baku, not all a disaster for French sides though as St. Etienne picked up a vital away goal in Greece

Two games currently in extra time: Spartak Trnava vs. Austria Wien & Apollon Limassol vs. Grasshopper Zurich

Hertha having some problems in Denmark but they have scored an away goal. The Macedonian side Shkendija make the playoffs despite being unseeded in the first round of these qualifiers, they lose in Czech Republic but hold on to the aggregate lead

Trnava vs. Austria Wien first tie to go to penalties this round

West Ham score early against Domzale, Kouyate the first WHU player to score at Olympic Stadium for the record books :D

Austria Wien win the penalty shootout 5:4, Trnava missed in the last round. Looks like Austria vs. Croatia for the 15th spot in UEFA coefficients (the last spot for 2 CL clubs) though I have a feeling UEFA will change the format of the CL in 2018 to include even more teams from top leagues

Two goals in ET in the match between Apollon and Grasshopper, Apollon took the aggregate lead and conceded moments later so now Grasshopper have away goals edge.

Hertha 10 minutes from going out with Pukki of all players scoring a hattrick against them. Will Hertha continue the tradition of "non-traditional" German EL sides falling in the EL? :sarcasm:

Bruges, Belgium
Gent and Genk both through without much trouble as well

With Anderlecht joining them in the playoff round we should have 3 seeded teams in the draw

Lol at Spartak, and they just won on opening match day in Russia 4-0. None of that translated into Europe.

At least Krasnodar handled business.

West Ham face Astra again, the Romanians eliminated West Ham last season but the Hammers used a reserve side, also they play a round later so West Ham will be more fit. Maybe not interesting on paper but Astana-BATE is a tie of two clubs who were in the CL last season, fast forward one year later and one of these sides won't even be in the EL group phase.

I won't go as far as calling this an easy draw for the Belgian teams

..but they really should go 3-for-3

Lokomotiva is Dinamo's team where they send young players to groom.
But right now, most of the talented ones have either been sold or are in Dinamo.

All in all, I think Genk should be heavy favorites.

No real surprises today in the EL playoff round, particularly good day for Greek clubs who go three for three; PAOK and Olympiakos winning away with Panathinaikos crushing Brondby 3:0 in Athens. Anderlecht win a convincing win in Prague against Slavia. Lokomotiva came from two goals down to earn a draw with Racing Genk but Genk have two away goals. West Ham continue with their shaky results in Europe as they earn a draw with Astra, but they have the crucial away goal. Macedonian surprise package Shkendija scored an away goal at Gent but conceded a last minute winner, all the play for next week

Rapid Vienna is going to have a really, really awesome year provided they don't sell Louis Schaub before his contract is up next summer. They've been running rampant over everyone so far (including 0-4 away at Trencin last night). Also have a beautiful new stadium that they haven't conceded a single goal in yet (13-0 including the opening friendly against Chelsea).
