people will say like "oh big deal the shoulders are smaller." but right now, to stop a shot going bar down, with how big goalies are, most just have to "twitch" theyre shoulder and it reaches.A lot more goals will be scored if the goalie needs to move theyre entire shoulder/arm to reach a puck now. With how hard and accurate players shoot now, that is a very substantial change

Good, I always go bar downski.

Who could pass up a mask with "Invisible Wizard Tech" features?

With this mask on, Oscar Alsenfelt will be transformed into the awesome logo of Malmö Redhawks... And the closer you come the more details you will discover and the mask enters a new dimension. And check out on the side, a tribute sketch to the legendary Redhawks goalie Pekka Lindmark. I just love to create these Storyteller masks! @alsenfelt @malmoredhawksofficiella #shl #DaveArt #DaveArtTheCradleOfCreativity

looks like they're going for fused materials instead of stitching. I can't imagine the stitches add a lot of weight, but they have gear to sell I suppose.

Say, what happened to Vaughan? They made the best pads 10 years ago but I don't see them as much recently.

Brians pads are top notch as usual.

Quite a few goalies still wear Vaughn's: http://www.thegoalieguild.com/padstrackers/2015-16-tracker/

I've heard good things about the CCM pads from other goalie friends. Reebok's used to be more firm while Vaughn's were soft. Since Reebok got out of equipment, I hear the resulting CCMs had a softer feel.

Then again, at a pro level, goalies can have the company make pads to whichever spec. I remember Schneider was testing out a pair of Bauers a couple summers ago, but ended up staying with Vaughn (but did switch to CCM blocker/glove).

"Mikael Tellqvist's new SHL mask live and breathes the history of Djurgården hockey to 100%... On a distance it has a strong profile, and when you come closer the mask transforms into a Storyteller mask. Thanks Micke! I am so proud to be your artist, for more than 17 years we have worked together @difhockeyse @micke_t #shl #DaveArt #DaveArtTheCradleOfCreativity"
