You realize thats not true, right?

The fact the pad has no breaks as well as being in a fairly low crouch may make them look taller, but thigh rise restrictions are a thing these days.

Nice. I tried searching online to see if there was anything about the G-Netik 3's a few days ago but couldn't find anything.

I'm kinda annoyed about the lack of the tangible visual difference we were supposed to notice in the newly sized goalie equipment.

Seeing the size of the risers is disappointing.. I. E Demko's standing pic.

I will wait to see preseason... but.... initial disappointment.

I was under the impression that for this season only pants were changing, and the rest of the changes were coming for the 17-18 season. Could be wrong, but I thought I saw an article saying that recently.

And in most of the pictures, the pants do seem very reasonably sized. Most notable in the Price picture.

Also look at Demko's shoulders. Thats a huge difference that will definitely increase scoring opportunities.

compared to a picture like this. You can really see the "boxy shoulders" are gone.

people will say like "oh big deal the shoulders are smaller." but right now, to stop a shot going bar down, with how big goalies are, most just have to "twitch" theyre shoulder and it reaches. A lot more goals will be scored if the goalie needs to move theyre entire shoulder/arm to reach a puck now. With how hard and accurate players shoot now, that is a very substantial change

Ah right, I forgot that it was pants and chest this year. Yeah, the chest protector should absolutely make a huge difference.
