Thanks Badger. I was just being lazy. As for Carrier, hopefully his small stature won't hurt him. CP will definitely need his scoring after losing almost 200 points in Sturtz, Baylis and Lloyd.

Another Kanata Move
Kanata is to be moving James Thomson to Aurora Tigers.
"Most recently he had looked into buying a team in the Ottawa-area Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL), including the Kanata Lasers. Thomson’s interest in the Lasers stemmed from the fact his son James, an 18-year-old defenceman, played for Kanata this past season.
One of the first moves he made was acquiring the playing rights for his son, who will leave Kanata behind and join the Tigers’ blueline corps this season."

That organization is literally coming apart. Will Traylen now assume coaching duties as well (in addition to GM)?
Just confirmed via Twitter that Traylen will indeed add HC to his duties with the Braves.
Has anyone been out to any of the exhibition games? Any surprises or is it too early to tell? Would love to hear any thoughts. Have any veteran players hit the ice yet?
OJS vets looked sharp in their win over the Rangers last night, Greg Meireles was flying and making better decisions about when to shoot and when to pass - it will serve him well wherever he decides to play. Many of the guys they've brought in for tryouts look like they could play in this league.

The 2015-2016 edition of the Colts is so good, that they have been asked to play in the OHL.
In all seriousness, the team is very "local". And it proves that the CCHL is all business. Each owner gets to decide the strategic direction of their business.
The owner / GM / head coach of the Colts has decided that going local is good for business. It puts bums in the seats and signs on the walls.
The Jr. A team is probably 50% local. However, going local may not win a championship it is good for the community and for the business.
It will be a year of development of local kids and very entertaining hockey. As most years, the Cornwall Colts will be competitive. It will require patience and hard work. Arguably, IM is one of the best development coaches in the league.
Size could be an issue. However, it is a typical IM team: skilled, fast, young and now local.
And the PLK get spanked AGAIN by the Wellington Dukes.....no contest 6-2......same program: no coaching, no system I can see. Should be an interesting year.
And CP Canadians are going in the exact opposite direction. I'm predicting only 4 "local" players on the opening day roster. That's if you consider Orleans, Portland and Stittsville to be "local". Sure, he'll have a winning team, but won't ever get close to a sellout until the playoffs.

It is difficult to argue with "success". However, it depends on how you define "success".
Nonetheless, you have to admire and respect JC. Perhaps third time's a charm and he will win it all this year. All the other 11 teams get to play for 2nd place.
I would love to have more local players......but they tend to ask for trades. There parents thought they would be better off playing in another organization. If all local players had the same attitude as Kyle Phillips Tyson Stewart Luke Martin and Stephen Baylis we would have more. This generation seems to believe its a right to play in this league not a privilege. Not all kids are like that but that has been our experience. But thank god those players asked for trades because ya cant win with players who think there entitled.
Maybe you need to ask yourself why they want to be traded from such an awesome organization.
So four local players in six years. That's it? And do you really want more Tyson Stewarts on your team???? The other three....absolutely.
