Kemptville
Gibson will land on his feet. Ownership changes always cause shake ups. Look at Kanata, John Hill comes on as owner, the Manager, 10 coaches (Heads and Assistants) all trainers and equipment volunteers as well as all the scouts just having quit. This in all a calendar year.

Change is good. HAHAHAHA.

Anyone in Braves country surprised by the John trade to the Grads?

If the "shackles are off" then Barban's kid will be playing 4th line beer league hockey this season :naughty:SF is a great coach, but if history repeats itself SB will quietly implode his own team once again, quietly behind the scenes. As a fan, IMO until they really shake things up, the Grads will continue to live in the basement.

It will be interesting to see how the new arrangement unfolds……some teams have been very busy on the trade and signing front & others "quiet"….. What is happening in Gloucester, Kanata, Cornwall??

News Article from the Cornwall Standard-Freeholder notes that the Colts have 10 returning forwards;
"The Colts expect to be deep at the forward positions, with returnees likely to include Grant Cooper, Matthew Morin, Tanner Spink, Nick Lalonde, Lawson MacDonald, Lawson MacDougall, Dean Derouchie, Keegan Mulhearn, Jeremy McFarlane and Jake Mayette."

However, defence might be an issue.
“It's another local product, Williamstown's Ross Craig, who'll lead a blueline brigade that'll be in rebuild mode.â€
I thought both Tierney & Roth would be returning.

Meireles-Ottawa Jr. Sens

Meireles undecided on future

Possibly, the Ottawa Jr. Senators might have a good player fall into their lap and fans will get to watch a talented player in local arenas. One does not usually expect a first round OHL draft choice (12th overall by Kitchener) to continue to play at the Jr. A level. Meireles only played 2 games in the regualr season but dressed for 5 games in the playoffs against Pembroke.

Tierney will be attending Ferris State while Roth will be at Dartmouth.

Looks like Ottawa Jr. Sens are loading up for another good season after losing many quality graduating players last year. Traded no roster players for a gritty forward who can score in Van Stralen(25 pts) from Brockville. They also just acquired offensive forward Tyler O'Neill from Kanata where he was the team's second leading scorer, putting up 32 points on a very weak team. With a couple touted new recruits coming in on the back end, OJS may be a top end team again this year.

SF Bears-K Groulx

"FWIW, the 67s retweeted the following message today from Kevin Groulx :
Kevin Groulx (@Grousy93) tweeted at 4:09 PM on Fri, Aug 07, 2015:
Thank you @Ottawa67sHockey and the fans for the past 3 years. Grateful to have played in my hometown in front of family. Memories forever!!
"

Groulx must have been waived by OHL teams for he is to join Le Phoenix de Sherbrooke while Groulx is attending Bishops University.

CP Adds Foster as AC

Former Kanata Head Coach Corey Foster has been added to CP's staff as an Assistant Coach. Question now is who's leaving? Maxwell, Cation, Rintoul or all three? I've heard rumours that they may all be gone.

Cation and wife having another baby. Two kids under two.....no time now for coaching. Rintoul has new job which wont allow him to coach but will still be around when he can. Maxwell is permant fixture in CP. They have a street named after him.

Very excited to add Corey Foster great coach and even better person.

Linked the above players to their past stats.

Nicolas Carrier played for Nanaimo last season and was traded in April to Cowichan. Nanaimo won their Division but then lost in the BCJHL league finals. Carrier was tied for 5th place in team scoring with 21G & 27 A. This player, alone, should provide scoring & leadership.
