...so, is Canada going to play the rest of the game shorthanded or what? You'd think Canadian players would figure out international reffing by now.

Late to the party... but that was fantastic work by SDC on that France goal.

It'd be nice to make some room for him, kid can play.

Da Costa would be the next Gretzky in a non-contact league. When the kid has room to move, he is lethal.

Crazy.
Poor Reimer...
Have we lost to France before at an IIHF event?

Losing to France - are you freaking kidding me?

I know you can't pin this loss entirely on Reimer, but boy he looked bad on France's second goal. Lunging, not patient, out of position - goalie coaches would have gone to town on his bad form there. He's a RFA, and the Leafs are unlikely to qualify him, making him a UFA. Maybe someone needs a low cost veteran backup, but the market will be pretty slim for him...

Meh. Sometimes losing early to an inferior team can actually help the team collect its collective heads out of their ***** and realize that international games are tough.

I've never liked this tourney. All the best players are usually still playing in the NHL playoffs, so what is the point?
