Comparing the showtime Lakers to the Heat is insulting to the Lakers. The Heat are nowhere near as good or entertaining, having 2 players who can dominate weak opponents in isolation off pick and roll is not "showtime."

I think you're reading just a wee bit more into my statement than is necessary.

Yeah, let's put Suarez on the bench. That sounds like a good idea. It's not like he had a good year leading up to this.

Sport. Basketball. Heat. Woho!

Not playoffs but LeBron is opting out of his last two years of his contract with Miami. No word on where he's going or if he's going, just seems 42.5 million wasn't enough? Or could they be restructuring to get under the cap.

I still think Miami is the front runner.
This allows the more freedom to craft a deal that allows the team to improve.

I think he SHOULD leave, I'm skeptical he will.
That said, unlike Kobe, he lack loyalty*, so who knows.

*Obviously when I say loyalty, I mean to a franchise not to, y'know, marital partners.

Even if Lebron restructures it won't change a whole lot if Bosh and Wade don't opt out too.

There aren't many teams who can maneuver to acquire him this time around.

Chicago could do some interesting things though if Lebron wanted to go there. Amnesty Boozer, deal Gibson, Snell and filler for Kevin Love. Then you have a big four (Rose, Lebron, Love, Noah) to build around.

I wouldn't build anything around Rose right now. With his knees, I'm not sure if we'll ever see him be a core player to rely on.

He'd have a hell of a lot less pressure on those knees with a wing who can score and handle the ball. He's going to have to develop into more of a traditional PG and less of a slasher, he won't be league MVP again but there's no reason he can't be a 20-8-5 kind of PG.

Maybe a Mod could change the topic to just OT: NBA

Can't believe LBJ went back to the Cavs. Some big changes going to happen. Miami will be decimated. Wade probably kicking himself he opted out of all that guaranteed money.
