If McGinn is a borderline NHL player, I have no reason to think Alderson can't be that or more. Much more upside too. Better athlete. Maybe doesn't have McGinn's puck skills, but those get negated at the NHL level because he can't create space for himself. Alderson's skating probably allows him to play on the 4th line unlike McGinn. He's finished the year strong. Hopefully he can build on it. Could be a late bloomer.
