I hope Babs gets tired of this and just sits the players he doesn't like. If put in his situation I would just put that 1.5mill+1mill bonus Cleary in the press box to collect his pay check - hopefully the Illitches will be upset about the wasted money and see what is up.

What I am expecting

Z-Datsyuk-Abby
Mule-Weiss-Gus
Tatar-Sheahan-Cleary
Miller-Helm-Glendening
13th-Andersson
GR-Jurco

Kronwall-Ericsson
Dekeyser-Quincey
Kindl-Smith

What I would like to see

Z-Datsyuk-Alfie
Mule-Weiss-Gus
Tatar-Sheahan-Jurco
Miller-Helm-Abby
13th-Glendening
14th-Andersson
GR-Cleary

Kronwall-Smith
Dekeyser-Ericsson
Quincey-Marchenko

I don't like the idea of Quincey playing with a rookie. But then again I don't like the idea of Quincey playing at all, and he's gotta go somewhere.

Nyquist-Weiss-Franzen
Tatar-Sheahan-Cleary
Miller-Helm-Glendening

Kronwall-Smith
DeKeyser-Quincey
Ericsson-Marchenko
Lashoff

Switching Marchenko with Sproul, this is what I think the roster will look like. Sadly, I think Alfredsson retires after feeling un-inspired to return next year.

I like how people don't think Abby will be put on the top lines by Babcock. It's like thinking that Cleary won't be resigned every offseason. It's cute.

I'd really like to see:

Z - Datsyuk - Nyquist
Franzen - Weiss - Tatar
Helm - Sheahan - Abdelkader
Miller - Andersson - Glendending
Cleary
Jurco as a call-up, can play any W position on any line.

If Weiss can find his game of course. For once they'd have clear, effective lines and not just players randomly all over the lineup. #1 line scoring while shutting down opposing line, #2 for more scoring with a lot of different qualities, #3 for gritty, speedy 2-way game and #4 to bring more energy. I can see every line working when given the chance. Should also be a good team on the draw, since every line has 2 capable faceoff guys (except for #2 line but Tatar and Franzen can win draws surprisingly well).

Of course there's big risk of someone getting injured. Z, Datsyuk, Franzen, Weiss, Helm etc. But then there's more variations available.

If they just stuck with certain lines i think it would help a lot in the long run. But its Babcock...

Those are pretty much my lines I would like to see. Only change I would make is moving Ericsson to the right side and letting Kindl play his natural position. I think he would find his game again paired with a guy who doesnt panic and can make an outlet pass on his own.

If Cleary must play, I hope he's buried on the 4th line with no PP or PK time. Please. But I fear the worst...

I love dats and z together, but I've been thinking that maybe they should be split for the sole reason that the mule always plays well when hank is his pivot. But with this I don't like having weiss play on the wing. I may get flamed but maybe something like this....

Mule- Z- Nyquist
Sheahan- D- Alfy
Tatar- Weiss- Jurco
Abby- Helm- glenny

Trade Anderson and try and send both Callahan and Ferraro back to GR.

Cleary, miller are the 13 and 14th forwards.

Kronwall-smith
Dekeyser- Franson
Big E- Quincey

Lashoff

Trade kindl and a pick for Cody franson to help with puck movement and powerplay.

Pp units:

Mule(net front)- Z- Nyquist
Alfy- kronwall

Run an umbrella with kronwall at the top and both alfy and Z at the dots while nyquist roams and mule plays net front.

Sheahan(net front)- D- Tatar
Franson- smith

Run an overload with pav on half board and Tatar down low/ they can interchange. Smith plays top and franson can cut back door or right into the slot for one timers while sheahan has very good hands in tight.

Pk units:
Helm- Abby
Glenny- Weiss
Sheahan- jurco( I think could be excellent on pk)

D: kronwall- E
Dekeyser- Quincey

Let me know what you guys think, just an idea

Sheahan is a center and should be used as such. If Luke ain't playing center, he should be sitting in the press box.

Why let your best center play with your best wingers when he can play with the 6th and the 500th best.

There's just no logic to that line. Datsyuk is getting older, he can't carry plugs like he used to be able to. If you're not gunna put him with Zetterberg he needs some skill + speed on one wing (Nyquist, Tatar, Jurco) and someone with a decent shot on the other wing (Alfie, Franzen, Pulkinnen, Mantha probably next year). An ideal Datsyuk line in my opinion:

Tatar/Jurco - Datsyuk - Alfie

Really both Cleary and Abdelkader on the top line, I guess no love for Datsyuk this year.

Dats needs better linemates.

Hate not seeing Jurco there.

Cleary will be in the starting lineup.

Q and Smith broken up? I'll believe it when I see it.

Babs usually always give Dats ****** linemates. If Alfie doesn't return expect Abdelkader there.

Cleary starting being scratched last year before he got hurt. Glendening is Babs new favorite player so I don't see him sitting, no shot Gator sits and I'd be surprised to see Miller out too as we need him to PK. If we don't have Alfie, then yeah he'll be in the lineup over Joker/Ferraro/Callahan and probably in the Top 9 too.

Babs finally came to his senses last year and broke up that pair when Big E was out and Quincey actually looked someone competent when he played with DD last year.
