Hartford Wolf Pack sign F Vinny Saponari to a 1-year AHL contract.

http://www.hartfordwolfpack.com/news/detail/wolf-pack-sign-forward-vinny-saponari

Saponari, 6-1 and 196 pounds, split the 2013-14 season, his first as a pro, between the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals and the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL. In 58 games with the Admirals, the 24-year-old Powder Springs, GA native scored 15 goals, which tied him for fourth on the team in that department, and added 18 assists for 33 points, while serving 14 minutes in penalties. Saponari was scoreless in two AHL postseason games. In 14 ECHL contests with the Cyclones, he totaled one goal and ten assists for 11 points, along with four PIM.

The Norfolk Admirals announced the signing of six free agents today for the approaching 2014-15 season. Two include returners from last season in center Dave Steckel and rookie defenseman Kevin Lind. Winger Brad Winchester, defensemen Steve MacIntyre, Nathan McIver, and goaltender Etienne Marcoux along with Steckel and Lind have all agreed to terms on American Hockey League contracts with Anaheim's (NHL) primary development affiliate in the AHL.

It's not explicitly stated anywhere, but it's a good bet most of these guys have signed AHL contracts with Norfolk: Zach Davies, Myles Harvey and Kevin Lind.

All three are listed along with Etienne Marcoux as being on Anaheim's 2014 Rookie Camp Roster as being on PTOs, rather than ATOs which is what rookies like Charley Graaskamp are on. We know that Marcoux signed with Norfolk this summer, so it seems likely the other three have signed, as well, though they could be on ECHL deals, too.

You were right for Lind. :)

Also, Pat Mullane (Rockford) and Dallas Jackson (Bridgeport) have signed with the Greenville Road Warriors of the ECHL.

I don't Jackson will remain in the ECHL for long. He had 25 points in 57 games last season in the AHL, so he'll probably be a nice pickup once AHL teams get hit by injuries or callups.

Today the Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers, announced the signing of defenseman Dallas Jackson and forwards Pat Mullane. In addition, the Road Warriors have signed forward Paul Rodrigues.

Jackson, 25, spent all of last season in the AHL with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and the Springfield Falcons.

Mullane collected 13 points (6G, 7A) in 46 games last season with the Rockford IceHogs.

Former New Jersey Devils D\F Harry Young, who had been rumored to have signed an AHL contract with the Albany Devils (AHL), apparently did sign an AHL contract, but has since retired to become a member of the Windsor Police Force.

At least, it's good to know that the original report was true...

Actually, since we're talking about the Albany Devils, it seems that Chris McKelvie, Kelly Zajac, Joe Faust and Rod Pelley are still part of the organisation.

I'll assume that McKelvie and Zajac are signed to AHL contracts. They're both likely going to play their third season with Albany. They were also signed to AHL contracts in 2012-2013 and in 2013-2014 but the organisation never officially confirmed it. LINK1|LINK2

However, I'll be more "careful" with Faust and Pelley.

It was reported back in august that Rod Pelley was going to sign a two-way (NHL/AHL) deal with the Devils while Curtis Gedig and Joe Faust were on the verge of signing with Albany.

Since then, Gedig has accepted an invitation to attend Calgary's camp while they were no other news about Pelley and Faust's contract status.

Brett Clark who played a bunch of games in the AHL last year but was never officially signed to an SPC, has apparently retired.

Former Avs defenseman Brett Clark is officially a member of the organ-i-zation again. The classy native of Wapella, Saskatchewan has been hired as a consultant in the player development department.

He has been on hand here at rookie camp the last couple of days overseeing things. Clark is a tremendous guy who will be a big asset to the team no doubt.

All the players who were under contract with Binghamton last season (Danny New, Danny Hobbs and Scott Greenham) have been invited to Ottawa's main camp.
http://senators.nhl.com/club/newsindex.htm

It's highly probable that they are still under contract this season.

Some of the other invites (Brad Mills, Brandon Wong, Nick Palmieri and Guillaume Lépine) might have signed AHL deals as well.

May be worth noting that they are the only team who have not signed anyone to an AHL contract, or at least one that's been confirmed.

Per Mark Divver : Ethan Werek, NYR 2nd rounder in '09, invited to Boston camp. He has an AHL deal with Providence.

Ben Youds, who was also invited to Boston's camp, might have been signed to an AHL deal as well.

By the way, I made a few quick searches on the remaining AHL UFAs! Here is what I found :

-Josh Lunden's contract with a russian team has been confirmed :
