People were confused why Bergevin would ruin his rapport with yet another agent by pitching a clearly unattractive one year deal. It makes him look like a penny-pincher and would clearly not be preferred by the target.

Have been hoping for Stalbeg and Bickell (before his playoffs burst) since I read the free agents list a good while ago. But I doubt we acquire anyone today unless it's from a trade.
