Here's a novel idea, let's have a thread for the GOOD stuff about this team. We have one of the best records in the league yet every day regular debate devolves to the same negativity and it's a drag. So, I present to you this thread where we can talk about the good things about this team. No scapegoats, no whipping boys, no fire/trade person X. Let's see if this works.

Good thread! :walrus: This fan base is way too hard on a team that is 11-3-1. This team is for real.

*Ducks are rockin' it 5 on 5 getting production from virtually every forward. This team is fun to watch when it gets going. :yo:

*Have a 11-3-1 record, despite the fact they have played the majority of their games on the road and their special teams blow.

*Fowler handling the duty of being a shutdown defenseman extremely well.

*YOUTH movement. So many young players making contributions to this squad. Etem, Palmieri, Vatanen, DSP...list goes on and on. Feels good. :)

- We have played 10 of our 15 games on the road with a record of 6-3-1 so far. Our biggest road trip of the season is almost completed!
- Penner has been a pleasant surprise, especially after his poor preseason
- Andersen has looked great
- DSP is having a great bounce back year

We have missed 1/3 of our roster, our special teams is invisible and we are still winning.

We are one of the highest scoring teams in the league.

With a 6% PP, missing 1/3 of lineup and not having any players (maybe besides Perreault) having overachieving numbers.

Can you imagine what might happens when the PP starts clicking (which it will).

Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry. The team goes as those two go and so far they've been great.

I'm pretty sure we have the deepest lineup in the league.

And Murray deserves some serious recognition:
- Acquired Perreault (who gets paid nothing) for nothing, may solve our 2C problems
- Drafting of Lindholm looks stud, good pickup of Andersen that draft as well
- Long-term commitments of Getz and Perry, done
- Found and signed a Euro gem in Viktor Fasth

And this is just recently.

How unreal has Bruce Boudreau been for this team since we hired him? Favorite coach in the league.

Perry's postseason was a fluke. He's back.

Penner might turn out to be the best signing of the offseason if he continues to play like this. Not even kidding.

Perreault's mustache is a thing of beauty! That's positive? Right!

In all seriousness, I have been seriously impressed by lovejoy and Allen, both have raised their game from last year

Credit there is due to Martin Madden. Sure Murph has the finally say but it's Madden's job to draft players. He's the genius behind our excellent draft picks.

Youth Movement has been called upon in the time of injuries. And we are kicking ass and taking names!

The biggest problem we have is that we have too many good players, and therefore will have to send down productive quality players who are real assets to the club down to the minors when everybody gets healthy. Players like Smith-Pelly, Andersen, Etem, Vatnen or Lindholm might have to be sent down for awhile when they certainly don't deserve itand it wouldn't happen if they were on any other team.

Getzlaf's look is MUCH better with a shaved head.

Also, it's good that ALL four lines contribute offensively, something we've lacked big time in the past :thumbu:
