Murray under 10 minutes again for the Habs, Parros scratched and playing about 3 minutes a night when in the lineup and Briere is putting up no production and is already having problems with injuries... the Habs had a chance to build on 2nd place from last year and yet had arguably the worst off season of any team

They tried to get tough by adding horrible players who hardly play to add grit and are complete liabilities when they do play... really dumb strategy, especially considering they still play really soft

Well not a very good night on the scoreboard with the exception of Ottawa losing in regulation. Jets gave Detroit a point. Sabres win, Islanders win, Carolina wins, Florida wins. Habs get at least a point tonight. We could used some of the Western Conference dominance tonight.

Tampa may have lost an important forward and defenseman but Bishop has been playing well enough to keep his team in tight games and give them chances to win even without a reliable offensive producer like Stamkos in the line-up.

Yakupov's comments make him look immature and stupid. Telling the media that he doesn't want to play just 9-10 minutes a game, but he wants more. you're a rookie you don't talk to the media about that.

English isn't his first language so sometimes you have to take into account what could be lost in translation. I haven't seen his comments personally but it's possible that his comments aren't meant to be a demand for ice time but a sincere expression to management and Oilers fans that he wants to be more involved and be a part of the solution moving forward in Edmonton. Being a guy that your team relies on does usually require more than 10 minutes of ice time each game.

I haven't seen much of Oilers games but based on what's happening and what the large majority of Oilers fans are saying, management's approach doesn't match with the actual situation on the team. If their treatment of Yak is part of the maturation process for him as a player, it would probably seem more justified if the coach and management supported the same treatment for all the players who aren't doing enough and aren't playing their best. Fans are pretty annoyed with Eberle yet he's not joining Yak in the press box as a healthy scratch. When you see a collective poor effort, players should be taking turns in the press box, not singling out one player. I don't mind that Yak went to his agent about this but neither should have made public comments to the media.

Technically he's a sophomore.
