I had a live feed from the press box tonight. During a commercial Butch goes "Howie, look at this white paint on my shoe", and Howie responds "Butch that's disgusting!" I'm really curious as to what this "white paint" actually is

I'm laughing FAR too much at this. Any more gems from the in-between commentary?

Gee, Stanley Cup 2014 come on down.

This was one of those oddities where you play a club that craps the bed. You only get so many of them in a season, and this club managed to still make it interesting in the last 3 minutes. They still won, so at least they aren't completely pathetic at this point, but this game was gift wrapped from the first minute on. I haven't seen Nashville play that lazy & sloppy of a game. They looked like they just came off playing 4 in 5 days. In the last few when they started skating things got more lively and the Isles went back on their heels which they don't do gracefully.

I take any win they get, but this one was a gimme by a team that didn't show up. Poulin made some smart gloves, so give him some love, and hope Tavares is not hurt.

It has to be a Clutterbuck influence. The whole team should sport porn staches to start a winning streak. :)

I think Bailey is sporting one too.

It's probably for "Movember" where men grow mustaches for the month of November for men's health issues mostly prostate and testicular cancer awareness.

Question. I'm thinking of dropping one of gaborik or wheeler and picking up okposo or neilson in my pool. I get one trade the whole year in this pool.

Who will play Witt vanek When he returns? Who is a better bet for more points?

nielsen is the better player, but for fantasy purposes id go with KO because he's for sure staying with JT and that in its own will put him around 65-70 points minimum IMO

Nelson seems better suited for the first line then Vanek ... Perhaps dropping Vanek to second line to skate w Franz and Grabner then have Bailey and PB&J pass and spin each other to death .... Just a thought ...

Nelson did look good on that top line, but I doubt they don't put vanek back on that top line. They want him to resign...

another terrific game by poulin. its on capuano to get him more starts.

also poor line matching at home cost poulin the shutout, hickey and donovan out against legwand and hornqvist.

snow isn't the problem. its capuano.

capuano made mistakes tonight too?

So he only gets blamed when the team sucks, but gets no credit when the team plays great? Sounds fair.

Isles were outstanding against Nashville. Credit due.

The fate of the universe lies in Kevin Poulin.
Poulin > Chuck Norris. :)

Bailey's playing like crap lately. Seems out of sync, not focused, not battling. He was marginally better tonight, needs to be more consistent. Sometimes he reminds me of Comeau (not in a good way, if that's possible)

Islanders come out and win against a team they 100% should have won against, beating a goaltender in his 2nd NHL start.

Im not super excited that they won this game and Capuano still needs to be fired.
