18 is gonna be pretty huge here....if one of these guys can eagle it and the other somehow pars they are gonna launch themselves into huge position to win this.

I wouldn't count out the pack behind Rory and Viktor. The final group from today is even par combined. If that happens tomorrow to Rory and Viktor, a lot of guys can win this.

They weren't kidding about the back 9 playing much harder than the front. The air is out of everybody's balloons now.
If NBC showed more than 6 golfers today, we would've seen it before it happens for the guys at the top of the leaderboard.

Hovland staying with Rory has been impressive but mostly due to the fact that of the last 25 shots he has had to be the guy to go first on 23 of them LOL...23....that is amazing that he has held up under that pressure but more amazing is the fact Rory has not been able to take advantage of the reads more

Rory and Hovland go to Sunday with a 4-shot co-lead at -16

Would be funny if both guys shoot 74 and Scheffler wins. I am more confident than Hovland has an implosion day than Rory does
Tbh I can see a mental implosion from Rory and a technical implosion from Hovland. He's 5th in SG ARG but I can see a bad few holes stretch that could cost him.

Scheffler is a guy I can see fight that off in his final round and post a low number, despite his 5 shot deficit.

Rory will never be set up better to win a major. 4 shots clear of 3rd place, his opponent has never been under this kind of pressure and is an incomplete player as of now. If he doesn't get it done, I'm asking some serious questions.

The problem is shooting 72 MAY not cut it despite the 4 stroke lead. Even if Hovland goes away there is risk Smith/DJ/Scheffler/Scott could shoot a 64 or 65 on this course so I think he has to feel some degree of pressure. At the end of the day I feel Rory either goes like 67 or 75. I think it'll be one extreme or the other for some reason

I think it’s time that Rory wins a major again. I think he gets it done.

Has anyone noticed how much HVIII spits on the course? I‘ve noticed it a lot recently. I don’t know if it’s new or he’s always done this, but I can see it causing a lot of controversy if people start to pick up on it.

I think they gotta be 66-67 or so. One of those guys behind them is gonna put up like 62 and be waiting for them.

Cameron Smith has put it together after that disaster on 13 yesterday. He’s feeling it

Smith now the betting favorite. I feel as if he does not bogey 16 and Rory only plays 15-16 even he is gonna win this

If Smith pars 17 Rory is either gonna need to birdie 16 or eagle 18 I think...the good news for Rory though is all the 65-67 shooters today most bogeyed 17

Smith finally misses a green and doesn’t have a good shot for his third.

Rory just can’t get a putt to drop

Rory has to get a birdie here on 17. Has to. Smith has the big stick on 18
