Yeah, trying to "set up a play" when there's no one in between them and the goaltender.

Far too often, guys are not screening the goalie. All we did is stand off to the side next to the net or sort of in front but the goalie can still look around. The shot will come and then the guy gets in front. It's so frustrating. This team will rarely ever score on the PP if they don't get traffic in front.

Should try putting Kopy in front for the screen. It is kind of his shtick.

Yep, or Hayes. These guys need to make a commitment to be there and stay there and not move off to the side at the last second allowing the goalie to see the puck. Barkov has a big body too, but should not be the net front presence. He needs to be at the halfboards or in the slot, not screening the goalie.

I think one of the problems is the inaccuracy of the shooters. Need to be able to put the puck somewhere where the screener doesn't have to worry about getting out of the way before taking one to the gut. Accuracy and keeping his shots low are two of the things that make Ekblad so good on the point.

Shots are either rushed or not taken. We miss the net way too much on the powerplay.
