Maybe Barkov will become good someday but he certainly isn't now. Dude was a ghost out there tonight, just like he is most nights. Contributes nothing on offense, and the next time he hits somebody will be the first. Could've used a year or 2 in Finland/AHL before coming here.

Barkov has now been below-average in almost every game this season. Even defensively today he was poor.

This is a scary trend right now. He does not look like anything close to what we need him to be offensively. Constantly dumping the puck in, not using his size or his puckhandling to gain space, he just looks so timid out there. Almost scared to try anything.

He needs to pick it up because the 8-point season pace he's on is not going to cut it for a player that is supposed to be an elite, franchise forward.

Tallon needs to make a move. Probably a few to be honest. One player won't fix this offense, we probably need a personnel change of 3 or 4 guys.

It was one bad game, no reason to lose our minds. They played a poor game against New Jersey and got their act together after the game and went on their streak that just ended (after Ottawa, of course). Teams play poorly every now and then, even the good ones. Are we really going to flip our **** when the team is 4-3-4, down four top-9 forwards, and still competing for a playoff spot? They clearly need help on offense, we all can see that. But Huberdeau, Bolland, Pirri, and Bergenheim are still out. Huberdeau and Pirri especially will help contribute offensively. I'm confident that Tallon will make the necessary moves to get a scorer on this team to keep them in contention. Let's just take a deep breath and get ready for Saturday.

Dave Bolland and Jonathan Huberdeau are not going to get this offense going. No one can score.

Are we really pleading for guys like Pirri and Huberdeau to save us? Sure Pirri can score but Hubs is back to doing nothing again this year and Bolland isn't being paid to score. I don't know wtf he's being paid for to be honest but it is not goals.

Bergy is a 30 point guy in his career so he is not gonna solve this offense the same goes for Bolland whos not a scorer to begin with. Hubby has not started this season any better then Barkov tbh so dont really know if we can trust them to solve our issues on offense!
