this can't be fixed quickly enough... much longer and it becomes habit, and a stigma for the refs to keep calling it, since we're obviously an undisciplined team.

I mean, it's mostly on the player for jumping early. But a coach can have some involvement and create extra confusion by mixing up lines and confusing players for who they are replacing.
