Irwin should be put on waivers tomorrow.

Agreed, he should be sent to the pressbox between periods and not let out on the ice for the 3rd. He was terrible all preseason, and is a trainwreck out there tonight.

Personally I think Trotman isn't that bad, but put him with this clown and he looks worse than he is

This is the reality of icing this defense. Irwin is obviously having a terrible game but there's going to be a fair amount of ugly while they figure it out. Can't tear them apart, this is what we chose to do.

Forwards need a lot more urgency in finishing their chances. There will be no holding it to 1 or 2 goals for a while. Those missed chances look big now.

He was in the box for 2mins too though, gotta factor that in. Missed being on the PP

3-1 is not that bad considering what I saw that period.

Where this team would be without Rask, it doesn't matter how many highlight saves he makes, he doesn't have a chance.

6 3rd pairing D's on ice :help: :help:

But Lou is looking strong and Pasta is a beauty.

I think the offense is there.
If it wasn't for brain dead mistakes, this game is still tied.

Game is literally exactly how I pictured it was going to be. All you goofs that thought Trotman is an NHL player need to wake up. I've been saying it for months the guy is no good. To think a huge majority of you had him penciled in as Chara's partner.

If Trotman is playing with Chara, some of his mistakes will get covered up. Not the case alongside Irwin.

I'm surprised at the amount of people who expected anything more than exactly what this on ice product is right now...

We aren't going to win many games this year with the team as constructed, just look at the defense.

Would've been nice to pop an extra goal or 2 in the first, but lack of finish strikes again.

That's what happens when you end up in the box for a cross check.

How about get a little angry?

I held myself back from saying that last year...it just wasn't in them.

It's a new year. Have a go.

Hit. Get the feet moving. Good things will result.

At the game... Irwin should be the first man out when Chara comes back. All I have to say.

Pasta and Connolly both impressing.

Hayes has Paille hands
