This is why I tend to enjoy indie games and games from smaller studios more than the big ones. Theres a growing contingency of newer developers that focus on games as either an art form or focus on games being fun. Not that AAA studios aren't doing that but there's so much money that goes into developing a game, they need something safe enougg that can cover costs.

AAA studios are doing far more than covering costs. When a company can post record highs in revenue yet still cut 800 employees, you know something's not right with the industry.

Finally got my hands on one! The sound is as close as you can get without dropping 4gs on a couple of Mesa duals. Sucks they discontinued this pedal ages ago, and with such a limited run.

I mean it's obviously more than that. My point was that they'd rather go for the safe test focused moneymaker rather than take a risk and make something that is interesting.

It's 16 degrees over here (Fahrenheit).

It's only kind of floated around freezing here for the last few weeks, but we just had a big dump of snow a couple weeks ago and it took the better part of a week to thaw because there was never any sun. Now that it's just finally gone, we get more. And I live a little out of the way so the salt trucks never come and clear the roads out, so by Friday or Saturday it's going to be a skating rink out there.

At least it's not Kelowna though. My Oma was saying that it's been around -14 up there for the last couple days (that's... I think about 6 or 7 F?) And tons of snow. She said that she went and stocked up for a week and has no intention of going outside for the next little while.

I love the weather we have had this winter.

Only downfall is it means a likely longer summer. Look forward to 100+ days in Sep/Oct!

I'm kinda worried about the impending wildfires. There's gonna be a shit ton of fuel to burn this year and there's still a lot of big dead trees because of the droughts.

Poll:

Should I eat meat at my friend's wedding today just so I'm not a pain in the behind? I haven't eaten meat in 12 years or so.
Based on what I've heard, eating meat after not eating meat for so long is gonna lead to a bad time. I'm sure the venue has some vegetarian options you could eat.

My wife is a vegetarian. A couple years ago we vacationed in France for almost 3 weeks. She figured out b4 the trip that it would be difficult to stick to it during the trip and decided to eat meat while there. She was fine and had no ill effects. She even loved some of the meals she had. Beef Bourguignon in particular. She would say, one meal isn’t going to kill you. She’s been a vegetarian for decades.

It turned out that they had vegetarian options on the menu. I got vegetable lasagna, but I thought it was terrible (I hate mushrooms.). Oh well. I ate a lot during cocktail hour.

Yeah, I keep forgetting to buy one of those.

I do have a Randall Satan that I picked up for almost half price due to a wrecked front and missing dials. I quickly replaced the damaged/missing parts with a call to their customer service. :yo:

I recently got a blockhead 5150 with an old Blue Voodoo cab (vintage 30s, yee boi) for like $750.

I hate being a musician. I also just blew $1200 on a PRS CE24 a few months ago.

There's a really nice spinach lasagna at a restaurant around my area. It's in a casino so I only go when they do a 50% off "pasta" promo.
