So you think he benefits the first line? Would he potentially hit a line with one of the other Russians?

Or will it be like I dreamt last night where one of them morphs into a competent center and we have an all top Russian line that never breaks and is completely unstoppable?

What he's mostly benefitting from is that the team has a 4 game homestand and the coaching staff will be able to put him in more favorable situations more easily. Of course its up to Denis to take advantage of that but it doesn make sense to call him up for a homestand not a roadtrip like Dowling was.

edit: woo terrible posting
Fun fact:

Blake Comeau leads the Stars in hits with 40 in 13 games. That's good for 9th most in the entire NHL.

2nd most on the Stars is Polak with 28. Ritchie has just 17. Tied for 5th on the team

Sorry for the late quote, but lol hits mean you don't have the puck for Reasons(TM). He's basically Sean Avery without the pugilistic smack. So that means he's a 3.5 line winger with good PK ability.

Re: Gurianov.... throw him with Spezza or Shore and let him go. He should 100% replace WandellJanmark in the top 6.

I thought Radulov was close to returning. I remember reading one reported saying he expected to play this week.

I remember when he was first injured they said it's likely he doesn't even miss the next game lol

Khudobin and Bishop are gonna have to carry us if we want any chance at winning

Lol @ Dickinson still on the 4th line for some reason. I suppose that should be considered our 3rd line though as every player on that line has been better than the players on our 3rd line

Line numbers don't matter . Its just how its written down.

ALso he's a been best at Center so the wingspots that Shore , Nichuskin and Gurianov play is not something where Dickinson would be good at.

Exactly the minutes played is more important than what order they are listed out. Someones gotta be listed out as the 4th line.

Is that the worst third pairing in the league?

I doubt they'll actually really play together in games. Its just for practise purposes . Each probably gets a babysitter and maybe here and there they get an oZone start together.

Fair enough...but that pairing is exactly what that is. With the injuries though...what are you gonna do.

I mean the organisation has 6 defenseman injured. At some point its gonna show. Hanley is the last guy with any kind of experience NHL or AHL we had left to call up. The next guys are AHL rookies and guys who haven't even been good in the AHL .

It is what it is. No depth chart will look good with this many injuries on one position.

Texas is going to have a rough weekend now too with what they are left to play with on defense.

Nobody who is left in the AHL is ready for any kind of NHL minutes. We're already screwed enough as it is.

I don't know what this team will do if Heiskanen or Lindell gets injured. Not gonna lie I'm thrilled we didn't trade Lindell either in a deal for Karlsson (don't think we would have anyways but still). He is wayyy too important for this team defensively
