That book has been on my need to read list for a spell so I'll need to rectify that. I'm fairly confident Rayan Givens isn't featured in the story but that's no big deal. Justified's Raylan Givens was often more Carlos Webster than Raylan anyway. Never hurt the show any.

It's still FX, so that's a source for optimism.

I'd like to hear how you're sure they'll mess it up.

I think it'll be fine, especially as just a mini-series for 8-10 episodes or whatever it ends up being.

Pretty confident this will be entertaining. The creative team has more than proven their ability to capture Leonard's voice and Oliphant is perfect.

We're not talking crazy mythology heavy sci-fi here. Crime solvin' and mystery shows might be TV's most enduring, versatile genre.

Bring him back every few years for new shenanigans as far as I'm concerned.

Better Call Saul, the Jesse Pinkman movie, the Deadwood movie, etc. It's possible to make quality spin-offs and continuations, especially if the principle people all return.
