I don’t expect the Pasta deal until they actually know the Cap and the owners repayment

DeBrusk dealt I put very low - makes no sense to me. Why ? He plays both wings and both special teams well

Carlo and Lindholm have looked good to great together - starting to gel. Huge pair that can skate and defend

Together they make less than Karlsson

The Bruins fans who live in the Fuji Islsnds are just getting the news Carlo & Frederic have been playing well

Fabian Lysell hopefully won’t be needed till next year looks legit - still rough around the edges but skills high end and is a keeper

Pastrnak, DeBrusk, Zacha, Lysell all should be here long term and worthy of 4 of those top 6 spots whether there is room (Marchand, Bergeron, Hall, Krejci) or not

This is shaping ip as a 20+ year run from 2007-8 of competitive teams
Agree 100%

Does anyone know anything about Tanner Jeannot in Nashville?
Put up 24 goals 41 pts last year but seems to be struggling. Playing 15 mins a night but only 6 pts.
Can thrown down, lotta hits, even took on Reaves this year.
I'm looking for some forechecking psychos for bottom 6 to compete with Greer.
I was thinking of him as well for a bottom 6 forward.

I think our defense is doing pretty well. Lindholm-Carlo has improved dramatically and that pair is game changer because it lets both Lindholm and McAvoy play in different pairs.

The key is both Grizz-Carlo and Lindholm-Carlo work. Grizz-McAvoy always works. Gives you great flexibility.

Forbort-Clifton does the heavy lifting and 54% from a bottom pair is elite. Hard to see a reason to spend assets upgrading there. Another option over Zboril or Stralman is the play IMO. Save the powder for up front.

At the risk of sounding full of myself, yes.

This management is going to go for it. When? They obviously have to make the numbers work. My guess is that they have a target number in mind and much like they fooled everyone coming out of LTIR had things figured out to the penny, (I think I called it masterfully done?) I think they know exactly how to get there and these Smith moves we'll see are just part of the process to get there.

It may not seem like a lot, and it really isn't, but big picture. This is hat happened to the Bruins cap in 24 hours. First is before Smith was sent down, second is after recall.

I feel like I am missing something. To me it looks like a savings of $6,081. If you did that 100 times, you would have $608,100 to play with. Am I just dense and not getting it?

Deadline space is the important column. It's almost 30 grand. And it adds up slow, but if they have a plan and a target and know what they need then it doesn't really matter.

I don`t have any massive issues with the D but always worry Grizz will get hurt prior to playoffs and would like someone who brings a nasty side to them, doesn`t mean they have to drop the mitts every game, just a guy who makes life miserable for opponents, I haven`t a clue who that might be but perhaps someone on here can think of someone
Hopefully with Hampus, that will keep the minutes of the bottom 4 down, and if we are lucky that will help with any weaknesses getting exposed and also reduce injuries

My top 3 deadline targets would be as follows in no particular order:

1. 3RW- I think an upgrade on TFred would help for depth purposes then roll with Foligno-Nosek-Frederic
2. Tough-PK'ing RD- Like Clifton but if we can get a RD with size, who can clear the front of the net and help eat up PK time from the right side, that'd be great. Also with Carlo's injury history, would be nice to have some depth other than Stralman on the right side.
3. This would be a nice to have insurance policy, but a 12th/13th forward who's in the top 5 in the NHL in terms of enforcing/intimidating. Greer can handle himself but let's face it, he's not that tough, Freddy and Foligno are tougher than he is.

Do you know or able to share, would said player fall into toughness or scoring category?

I’ll keep pounding the table for this one. 3rd line RW with some pop. Sheary, Nyqvist are good and will be affordable at the deadline.

Also would look at brining back Mojo to play with Coyle. His cap hit would be an easy move or so to fit and we know the chemistry is there.

Sheary and Nyquist sound as appetizing as a glass of milk on a 100 degree day.

Sheary has terrible playoff numbers, less than 10 goals per 82 games. The Bruins are the best team in the league, trade for someone that can make an impact on the playoffs. Toews or bust.

Why would we ever want to tinker with any of these guys? Best top 6 in the NHL and prob the best 7-9 in Reilly, JZ and Stralman.

Hey now, that's my second line sim LW you are talking about!

You have to make a lot of cap space to fit Nyqvist in, and I don't think he is good enough to warrant paying Washington a high pick to take Reily and Smith while giving you Nyqvist.

In terms of Sheary, I guess he is an upgrade on the 13th forward, and a decent depth piece, but I think Frederick is a better player at this point,

12th forward. I don’t think they want to go with Greer any higher than 13th F

I hope he gives you continued success from Washington. Sweeney wouldn’t be doing himself any favors if Sheary was his big pickup on Bergeron and Krejci’s last run lol.

Boston should be a top spot for pending UFA with NTC but I also thought Giroux was coming here last year.
