7 years is fine. That will take him to 35 years old I think. Maybe the extra year or two was done to lower his AAV.

Great signing, but 7 years? With his history of injuries, that's a little troubling. But in the immediate future, things are really looking up. Horton fits in perfectly with the team and should be able to increase his offensive numbers.

The original rumor was he wanted 6 years and $36 million. IMO, 7 years and $37.1 million is much better.

Very happy with 5.3 cap hit

I have been a fan of Nathan Horton and his style of play since pre draft. We will need to let him heal, but long term he can lift our scoring

It will be like trading for a big player during the year without having to trade away any assets. Plus, we get him for 6 more years.

Lovei t. Some complain about 7 years, but he only makes 7 mill in the last 2 years. Great contract, welcome Nate

Be nice if he was available in December, but sometimes it takes a year for these things to heal.

Just having a hard time getting excited for a 7 year contract who is one big hit away from being Marc Savard or Chris Pronger...

Like the signing except for the injury, like the cap hit (lower than I thought it would be), but I'd like to know who's going to slot in for the first couple months of the season.

I know a guy. Guy likes it here, too. (I can dream, can't I?)

Maybe he could raise his hand so that management can see him...
