Whomp whomp on both of us there haha. I like Stamkos and don't mind the team. Panthers went up on my **** list with the rats and stuff last year. Never liked the caps and forget the canes.

I don't mind the Caps, and I feel bad for them now. Remind me of us two years ago. I went from laughing at Oates to having sympathy for him. To be fair the Caps problems started a year ago. They were pretty mediocre for much of last regular season too.

The Canes can go **** themselves. Ward, Muller, MacLoser, and the crew.

This was Kovy's best game in a while. Not cause he scored, but he was all over the place tonight. Had some nice shots, should have had the empty netter, but was a little too unselfish there.

GG guys. Absolutely controlled the game, nevermind the 3rd period penalties. I kept hoping for some energy to come from the Lightning, but to no avail. That and the lack of toughness. I mean how do you go up to NJ knowing they are physical... and let them manhandle you.

Look forward to the next game.

I think it's one thing to know that a team is going to be physical.....

..it's another thing to actually experience it and try and deal with the physicality.

Like Mike Tyson(I think) once said, "Every guy has a plan until they get punched in the mouth" or something like that....

Thanks, and good luck to you guys this year! Get some of that toughness, and bounce the Raggies this weekend!:handclap:

1 goal . 1 assist . Coulda ha like 4 goals if he didn't pass all the time

Well, If I'm not wrong, with a bit of luck, that could've been a 6 pts night for Kovalchuk tonight.

2 possible great assists for Matteau and Zajac in the 1st period, Clarkson barely touched the puck on Greene's goal no more soup for Ilya here, and the missed empty netter + his 2 points tonight.

= 6 pts.

Unluckiest NHL player ever ! :sarcasm:

I have to say, from analyzing this game, Tampa's team speed is absolutely terrifying................................. in the regular season.

But I dont care if they finish the #1 seed or the #8 seed, that team is going nowhere come playoff hockey.

Clarkson and Patty's styles of play compliment each other well

And it's funny because on paper you wouldn't necessarily expect them to. Those guys are doing great together, and Henrique too. Patty marches on to 1000.

How was Kovy today?

Might be his best game of the season so far. He was blasting away at every opportunity, he was backchecking well, he did some excellent work on the PK, and he scored a goal and picked up an assist. Still doesn't hit, but I'm completely happy with his performance tonight in every other way.

That and the lack of toughness. I mean how do you go up to NJ knowing they are physical... and let them manhandle you.

I'm pleased to see the Devils are getting this reputation. That's what you expect of a DeBoer team.

Saugus, what would Patty need in order to have a remote chance at getting into the Hockey Hall Of Fame?

Besides a ticket, that is.... :sarcasm:

I think if he makes it to 1000 points he will eventually get in. He's one of the greatest forwards of the dead puck era.

Fun fact of the day !

The 3rd pairing, worthless heatlhy scratch material Andy Greene has scored as many points as the next coming of Bobby Orr, I've named the all-mighty Justin Schultz.

Both 6 points in 10 games.

Larsson was a beast tonight. Kept St Louis, and Stamkos in check quite a few times tonight. He won't be seeing the luxury suite again anytime soon.
