If they start the season eligible for the Calder, they are prospects.
Zadina, Rasmussen and Cholowski are ineligible. Lindstrom, Smith and Svech, I believe, are eligible.
Rank them, 1-10. You can rank more, but the top 10 will be used to rate the prospects.
(10 points for 1st, 1 point for 10th).

1. Seider
2. Raymond
3. Veleno
4. Berggren
5. Johansson
6. Niederbach
7. McIsaac
8. Svechnikov
9. Wallinder
10. Mastrosimone

1a. Seider (RHD)
2a. Raymond (LW/RW)

3b. Veleno (C)
4b. Berggren (LW/RW)
5b. Johansson (LHD)

6c. Wallinder (LHD)
7c. Niederbach (C)
8c. McIsaac (LHD)
9c. Mastrosimone (LW/RW)
10c. Tuomisto (RHD)

HM: Elmer Soderblom, Emil Viro, Donovan Sebrango, Otto Kivenmaki, etc.

A-tier: surefire NHL potential, all-star upside (Zadina would fall here)
B-tier: likely NHL potential, top 6F top 4D upside (Rasmussen would fall here)
C-tier: possible NHL potential, mixed upside (Lindstrom/Svechnikov/Cholowski/G. Smith would fall here)

I see Veleno and Berggren as pretty interchangeable at this point, as is the entire C-tier.

did 11 because it didn't feel right to leave off Soderblom with how close I have the bottom

some changes for me since October: Seider has proven himself just enough at this point for me to have him(narrowly) above Raymond on my list, I continue to be higher on Johansson over time and now have him(narrowly) above Veleno,McIsaac getting injured again is concerning and has caused me to drop him a few spots,Niederbach and Kivenmaki rose a bit

I really like this although I put Raymond over Seider but not by much.

I put Johansson third because he continues to impress me with his developed. Wheres Berggren and Veleno have had bumps in their development Johansson has not.

I like this list the best in terms of probability of making the NHL based on what we've seen so far. I'd probably flip 8 & 9 because McIsaac has injury concerns.

Johansson is so underrated on this board.... I think he's got a batter shot than Berggren or Veleno.

4.) Berggren

6.) Wallinder
7.) Neiderbach (I think he winds up top 3 with graduates of a couple soon and how good he is.)
8.) Mastrosimone
9.) Tuomisto
10.) McIsaac (his health is really concerning at this point as is his missed development time. Hopefully he can rebound like Berggren)

I'm surprised I'm the only one here with Viro on his list at the moment. The kid's skating ability alone will make him a sure bet to at least be a #7 D-man in the NHL some day.

If he keeps progressing I’ll be surprised if Petruzzelli isn’t in everyone’s Top 10 by the end of the year... Off to a great start, first 6 games 1.5 GAA .940 SV 1 SO

Interesting point, he's also UFA unless the Wings sign him by August 31st. (4th year in college) I don't see any reason why he wouldn't sign with the Wings considering the goalie position is wide open when Greiss' contract ends in 2 years. He's not going to get a better opportunity anywhere else.

The Dirty Dozen (classic war movie reference). Also not counting Lindstrom as a prospect anymore as I expect he'll be FT NHL'er 3rd pairing this season (note his Euro recall). Cholo isn't a prospect anymore either but has further to go to re-reach the NHL than Lindstrom.
