I don't think Marchment will ever make the Leafs, seems like a guy that's added in a trade to sweeten it up. Not sure what it is, maybe it's his skating or IQ that isn't that great but he wasn't nearly as good after he got his ELC. The injuries mightve played a part in that though. I think Moore is a lot better and has a better chance at making the Leafs.

Not that they are top prospects by any stretch, but just looking at their VHL production I think that Vladislav Kara and Nikolai Chebykin are underrated prospects in our pool. Both are on the fringe of being everyday KHL players at age 20.

Chebykin is constantly overlooked, as a prospect. He was the youngest or 2nd youngest player on his VHL team. There were 38 or so different players on the squad through the season.

9. Jeremy Bracco (Top 6 W)
10. Dymtro Tymashov (Bottom 6 W)

Don't know too much about Korshkov, Aaltonen and Ozhiganov more FA's than prospects to me if that makes sense.

Korshkov was picked 31st overall. He's not FA pick up.

He's so much better than Nielsen.

You say Chebykin is overlooked and then proceed to not include him in your top 20. Both Chebykin and Kara are top 20 prospects in our pool IMO

Chebykin will move up when he plays at the highest level in Russia as a regular. I think he's a very undercovered prospect.

Fair enough, I guess everyone values their prospects differently.

I try not to put much weight into experience/age when I create my lists. My lists are more of a 'predict the future' I guess.

For instance, in 2016, nobody would have had Engvall in their top 20 and probably top 30. I bet you if you were to redo the prospect pool from 2016 now, nearly everyone would have Engvall in the top 20.

I wouldn't sleep on Kara quite yet.

Chebykin 2016/2017:
KHL: 8GP 1G, 1P
VHL: 24GP 5G, 8P
MHL: 17GP 17G 27P

Kara 2017/2018:
KHL: 11GP 0P
VHL: 33GP 9G 15P
MHL: 2GP, 1G, 3P

Kara also plays C I think...

Engvall impressed me the most watching the marlies. Big, can skate and protects the puck down low, great hockey sense.

I predict he will be a top six player fir us.
