And odds are in a couple months, we’ll be fighting to do so again. Neither Reimer nor Mrazek are going to be the most consistent goalies in the league. As long as they get the job done, that’s all we can ask for, but when they’re bad, they look really bad.

With the large UFA crop next year, there will almost certainly be one that falls through the cracks after Day 1 (Corey Crawford, I bet). In the meantime, though, Mrazek/Reimer are just fine this year as stopgaps.

So when we finally get our goalie it’s going to be a 35 year old who’s had severe concussion related issues the past few seasons?
