Don't forget Clarkson even flubbed an open net too. It probably didn't look as bad as Fayne's, but I do remember him missing a wide open net too in game 1.

Not to sound like a sore loser, but the amount of luck that Kings team had was ridiculous. Not so much when we played them in 2012, but 2013 for sure. That one game where they scored the winning goal against the Blues with less than a second remaining in the 2nd period, the gift calls at the end of game 2 vs the Sharks when they were about to lose, Pavelski not lifting the puck with a wide open net but putting it in Quick's glove instead, with a few minutes left in game 7. Even in game 5 against the Blackhawks they kept Quick in the net until 14 seconds left, and then they win a faceoff and tie it with less than 10 seconds left.:shakehead

I think Clarkson may have even missed two wide open nets in game 1. They weren't as bad, or as close as the one Fayne missed though. That's one game I really don't wanna remember. Game 2 I can swallow, because we got outplayed that game. Game 1 we totally outplayed them.

Oh man he is going to get a nasty Kovy's better chant.

Without a doubt Zach gets booed by everyone but Jim.

Clarke? Honestly...I think he might get some boos. Especially this year and definitely the first Leafs game but it won't be the whole crowd just a smattering mixed with some gratitude and some indifference. By the end of the year and next year almost all indifference with only the more die hard reacting mostly positive. Kind of like Gio now. I don't recall most of the crowd even reacting to him anymore (though I could be wrong)

Zach is getting booed by the whole crowd.

Kovy's better :handclap: Kovy's better :handclap: Kovy's better :handclap:

Can it still be used?

Have to switch to Zajac is better I suppose. Great

Ya my care level just left with kovy on a plane to St Petersburg :(

I'll still root for the team but have to say this is quite the dagger and I don't even blame Kovy, I'd bet it was rather mutual with all the $$ and cap the Devils will be saving.

I want to go to Russia just to heckle Kovy.

I'd pick one of the other countries in that league rather than Russia to do that ;)

As to the original question. Parise will be booed the whole game, no doubt. It'll be a once per year tradition but will probably fade to intros after a couple years.

Clarkson will probably get a meh/mixed reaction - small amount of boos but really that one felt like a mutual foregone conclusion. Like an intro boo followed by nothing - well if he scores he'll get booed. But most fans agree he wasn't worth even what Toronto paid him.

The dog and pony show that Parise did just to leverage more $ with Minnesota is what gets me.

As for Kovalchuk - take all of the Gary Bettman boos combined and multiply them by 10 and that's what that guy would get if he ever darkened our door again.

I think you should multiply that number by more

I'll boo Clarkson....because booing is fun, and he seems like the kind of guy who would get affected by it. Other than that, I think it will be more meh.
Parise will of course get booed, but not as much as if it was last season.
I frankly have no real ill will towards either, but would boo because...like I said....its fun, and they are now "the enemy"

Frankly Kovalchuk basically took any and all heat off them (and I'll root my ballz off for both of them if playing against team Russia).

You know, I kind of blame Parise for staring this mass exodus mess. Had he stayed on and showed loyalty and unity, we might have Parise, Kovy & Clarkson today.

The lockout(combined with Medvedev spewing his crap in Kovy's ear) did more to convince Kovy to leave than anything Pari$e did.

So let's say the Wild get tired of Zach under-performing and offer him to New Jersey, sans Suter, and Zach is ok with going back to the Devils.

What's your offer.
