Weird flex when you’re sitting at the bottom of the standings with “Three #1D” and “the best top 6 in the NHL”…

Congrats on that 1 OT win against the Wings though, I guess Sens fans have already moved onto to cheering for moral victories on the season

Don't forget about Playoff Warrior.

Flexing so hard when I say 'they're not even good'. In the one game the wings won they got dominated. Yikes, no good teams should be losing to the sens. Who's flexing exactly?

Oh so I have to bring out the history books now eh? That’s where Ottawa gets to beat their chests

Just stop it man. We’re in 2023 almost 2024. No one cares what Ottawa “almost” did several years ago. Leafs have had disappointing playoff series? Cool, so did one of the best teams in recent memory in the Boston Bruins. That’s playoffs. Anything can happen.

So making the playoffs isn’t the accomplishment I think it is eh. Well I think it’s an accomplishment that the Sens have been incapable of reaching in 5+ years? Is that supposed to be false?
You know what else no one cares about a team that has 1 playoff win in 9 tries right now. Neither of them are any good. Sens have been run by a lunatic for the last decade literally giving players away putting 0 into the organization financially. They should suck, what's the leafs excuse? Another loss to a bottom feeder tonight. Gave up 9 to Buffalo last week. Man you guys are so sick.

The Sens “dominated” in a 5-2 loss?

I know it must suck to have such high expectations of your team just to be drastically let down but sheesh that’s not a good look man

What’s the leafs excuse for beating Tampa in the playoffs and losing to the Stanley cup runner up? Do you hear yourself?

But congrats I guess Ottawa! Regular season props :thumbu:

Keep hanging your hat on beating a tired Tampa team and getting waxed in 5 the next round when they have home ice. They haven't underachieved at all you're right. Thats about as much as we can expect from that group.

Shots were 17 to 3 in the first period the only reason Detroit got back in the game was one of the worst calls of the season.

I have stated multiple times they're no good. Just simply pointing out Detroit isn't either. The only look that's bad is you attempting to troll the sens who are clearly in your kitchen.

The really bad look is your inability to process the English language. Where have I been 'flexing' where are my 'high expectations' . I am simply here to welcome you to join in the reality of acceptance.

Ottawa.. even “dominates” when they lose 5-2. The greatest bottom feeder team of all time I tell ya! It’s just the NHL is out to get them!

The vast majority of Wings fans thought at best they would be fighting for the last wildcard spot.

The vast majority of Sens fans saw themselves in a divisional spot and clear playoff team (yourself included), “much further along than Detroit”, “three #1D”, and “best top 9 in the NHL”.

How’s that o prediction working for you?

Pathetic response. I never said any of that. Don't make things up then claim I said them. There's a quote option for a reason. Be an adult and debate in good faith there's a conversation being had. Feel free to reference the actual content instead of making things up. If not please don't respond. This isn't fiction.

Pft that’s ironic. I’m hanging my hat on the Leafs losing in the 2nd round last year after beating the Lightning while you’re hanging your hat on a Sens team whose best years were 5+ years ago and have been bottom of the league ever since?

Just stop. These excuses are getting ridiculous. There is no shame in what the Leafs did last years. It only looks bad compared to the expectations of winning the Stanley Cup.

I personally think Colorado and New Jersey have better cores locked up to better deals. But again 0 context coming from you so a pretty bad take in general. They were 6 points out last year. Sanderson was a rookie Stutzle on his elc. Played 7 goalies and Norris was injured all season. Take a walk. The sens hatred you spew from thread to thread is sad.
Here you are saying Ottawa has the 3rd best core in the league locked up to amazing contracts
Giroux and Stutzle have tremendous chemistry and Giroux can help with faceoffs. This is what the sens lines if healthy should look like.

Giroux Stutzle Tarasenko
Tkachuk Norris Batherson
Kubalik Pinto Grieg
Joseph Kastelic Macewen
Here you are referencing them as possibly the best top 9 in the league, something you did many times in that thread

Here you are referencing them being in a battle to be in a divisional spot… Detroit also no where listed on your “battle”.

Maybe bold text below, where poster actually says that, as not seeing it anywhere. Is it in some kind of special double secret code, we can’t see.

Easily edmonton , nobody took ottawa fans seriously with their best top 9 in the league posts. Bottom of the atlantic again like clockwork

While alot of people saw that edmonton was a flawed team they also acknowledged that McDrai can carry them to a playoff spot every year and even maybe win them a couple rounds

Three #1 defensemen tho. :sarcasm:

Read through that “NJ has the best top 9 in the NHL thread” and you’ll see plenty of references to Ottawa being up there.

You didn’t answer the question.
I even gave you the quote, so you could bold it.
So looks like you were just BSing again, I’ll wait see if you go back and bold the parts I asked you about, but Im not holding out any hope.

Go to the thread yourself if you don’t believe me. This was in response to NJ having the best top 9 and him thinking ottawa is in contention for it, hence listing the lines.

You’re also ignoring the other quotes but that’s not surprising.

Lmao, so you got nothing, shocking.
Why did you quote Bert, make 2 points that he never said, then challenged on it.

You Come back with well go look in another thread lmao, I asked about the specific quote that you just used BS on, nothing else.

Give you a third chance now,
You specifically said “ here you reference xyz”, nope poster never did.
Next line “here you reference abc”, nope poster never did.
if not stop with all the hot air, bold it, or say you screwed up.

The player did reference in the second line about Ottawa being “in a battle” for a playoff spot, the picture just never uploaded, hence why I posted that picture again after.

If you don’t want to believe it go ahead, I can go find some more quotes if I really feel like it.

Lol that was a pre season projection. I said they wouldn't be sellers and the healthiest of those teams would be in. Detroit won't make it, the least healthy teams are the ones sitting on the outside.... Boston center depth still is terrible. They're certainly a team that's outplayed my and many others projections. And plays more to the sum of their pairs than just about every team. They've come back to reality lately.

This also has nothing to do with this conversation and what you claimed I said. Try again big guy.

So while also being wrong about Ottawa battling for a playoff spot with Boston (they’re instead battling for last place) you were also wrong about them being in contention for best top 9 in the league and having a top 3 core locked in long term.

Oh right you also had Ottawa considerably higher in the standings

I can’t wait for the next prediction!

Edmonton, I didn't think they were big cup contenders but with McDavid I figured playoffs easy.

I thought Ottawa would be bad

Bigger let down? What were the expectations for Ottawa anyway? For Oilers, sportsbooks had them as the clear cup favorites.

Not sure how this is close.

I wouldn't really say they are battling for last place. Their p% gives them separation over the SJS of the league and not far off Buffalo. Looks more like they've been a little unlucky, since their GD is miles better than any of the teams around them
