Rushing a goalie to the NHL is pretty f***ing dumb
Also injuries
With Sutter Wolf would only get 18-20 games next year, he could get 50+ in the ahl which would be very beneficial for him continuing to developcontrary to popular assertion, most goalies are in their prime from around ages 23 to 31, just like most pro athletes.
Most overpaid goalies are on the wrong side of 31.
Playing a player who is in his prime in the NHL is beneficial.
Do goalies have up years and down years?
Yes.
Could we have potentially even wasted one of Wolf's up years?
Yes
