He probably is the player with most different championships in the world after winning CHL today? That`s European championship for clubs, he now has:

- Stanley Cup champion
- World Championship gold
- Olympic gold
- CHL gold
- Finnish champion
- Swiss champion

Filppula hasn't won Finnish championships. Still, good record for him.

Nobody outside Canada care about World Cup anyway. As it is a gimmick tournament and always will be.

Is the "gimmick" that it's actually the best in the world versus the best in the world as opposed to the joke "world championships" that just so happens to take place during the NHL playoffs?

Pretty sure the answer is Cory Perry...

without googling

Skoda World Championship
Memorial Cup
World Juniors title
Stanley Cup
Best on best olympic gold
Calder Cup
World Cup

Maybe I'm wrong on one but I think he's won everything at least once. And I think he won a Hart or Art Ross too.

Winning CHL hockey in Europe is more prestigious.

Does anyone care about CHL Hockey?

I live in Germany and I've heard nothing about it. Maybe just people in Sweden? I've seen passing references to WHC and Word Cups on Sky, as it is NHL relevant.

I would qualify Köln as having a better hockey culture than most American cities... And a sizable fanbase for the Haier.

Slava Fetisov

13 x Soviet champion
13 x European Cup champion
7 x World champion
3 x U20 World champion
2 x Olympic gold medalist
2 x Stanley Cup champion
2 x U19 European junior champion(U18 EJC & U18 Worlds predecessor)
1 x Canada Cup champion

I think we have a winner.

Tough luck. Change the schedule then.
Every other league is almost finished before may.

He did win the Hart. Tied for the Richard I think, but I'd have to look to be sure on that one.
