You guys sure Daley is even old enough for Holland to want to sign?

It seems like Girardi would be more appealing to Holland

Anything in the neighborhood of 3 Million is actually a great deal IMO.
But again I've always been partial to Daley.

Daley is a lot tougher than some people give him credit for too.

Minutes away from being official, Red Wings have agreed to 3 years at $3M AAV for defenseman Trevor Daley.

Fine deal assuming no NMC - at least for the third season. Solid vet with rings, supposedly great lockerroom guy - maybe even wears a letter here.

Daley confirms Detroit signing by speaking to @HockeyCentraI. I assume that's his son wearing the Michigan shirt. ;)

I'm already gonna love him ha

So now the bottom line is scrolling 11.12 million per the NHL Network bottom line, each time I see it this contract goes up....

Hope that was a mistake and unfortunate my first feeling of Daley beyond good offensively and bad defensively is he dresses his kid like a chump...:shakehead

I actually like this signing. It's only 3 years at 3 mil, and he is a clear upgrade over every defenseman not named Green. Our prospects aren't ready yet either, and if one of them are, they can play instead of Russo or Jensen.

There's no way Daley was going to sign somewhere for less than 3 years.
Yeah this is very good. 3x3 for Daley is way better than 2x3 for Girardi.

A cheap contract like is is super easy to get rid of if he becomes a problem in the last year or even two.

I will say this again, but the bottom line on the NHL network keeps scrolling by with 3 years 11.12 million which is making me less happy.

I hope they are just wrong there. Nothing else seems to be backing that up.

No it isn't. People are forgetting Daley was terrible in his last couple years in Dallas and was dumped by Chicago for nothing. He had one good year insulated on in an absolutely stacked Pittsburg team then reverted to his usual suck and injuries last year. Daley is not a good hockey player.

Aaaaaand he gets an ntc hahahaha
