I wonder if Chevy is privvy to Copps long term plans.

If he doesn't want to sign long term, losing him to Seattle might be a smart play.

Harkins slots into his spot (or ves). Keep the d corps intact

There is a logjam brewing on the left side with Stanley's emergence as a bona-fide bottom pairing guy with potential to *maybe* be able to move into the top 4. So you look at moving Samberg for a similar RHD prospect?
Does someone flip to the right side?

Jets might league the NHL in "Scholastic Player of the Year" awards (Hamilton won it with the OHL).

Jets' Scholastic Player of the Year winners...

Josh Morrissey
Nelson Nogier
Adam Lowry
Cole Perfetti

Also, if he likes museums, I wonder if he might like Inuit art. The Jets have a fabulous new museum focusing on that (not to mention the terrific Museum for Human Rights).

Really? Copp is worth way more than that. He needs to be protected not given away at the expansion draft. Now, if we can't sign him to a longer contract then things change. Still, he would have a lot more value than what you suggest IMO.

Agree. But the strategy is fine. Just adjust the price.
