Lupul, Bozak, Fraser, Kulemin all injured but they keep on winning! Love this team. They'll have ups and downs but always bounce back. Go Buds!

Leafs finally play to their identity! TOUGH! We had over 40 hits and a fight, Leafs NEED to play this style to win games.

When people say we've been inconsistent of course we're going to be inconsistent when we're always missing 2-3 guys on our team every game. It's amazing we have the record we do and we're not even close to fielding our full team.

Over confidence is exactly the type of games we lost in Columbus and Carolina.

Every game is pretty tough in this league and the Oilers can be a resilient bunch, especially in their own building.

It should be a win but I just hope the team isn't looking past this game like some fans in this thread. I'd hate to give up points to the Oilers or even the Flames the next day.

We probably wont be able to outscore our problems this game, Edmonton got some really good goal tending yesterday which was their biggest weak point. Good news is the Leafs have started to pick up the physical play which was completely missing the last time they played.

If you look at our team

JVR-Bozak-Kessel
Lupul-Kadri-Clarkson
Raymond-Bolland-Kulemin
Mclaren-Mcclement-Orr

Gunnarsson-Phaneuf
Gardiner-Ranger
Rielly-Franson
Fraser

Bernier
Reimer

Red have all missed games due to injury (Mcclement for personal reasons), green were banged up coming into the season and blue have been suspended. Then you add in the yellows who all needed to get up to speed - Rielly who had never played in the NHL, Franson who didnt have any preseason or training camp and Ranger who has been out of the NHL for 4 years and that's half our D-core that took a while to adjust. Our record is actually pretty good considering all this.

Anyway on to this game. The Leafs need to impose their physicality like they did vs Pittsburgh and it should be a win. The last game vs the Oilers was just too wide open. I would start Reimer coming off his great performance especially considering Bernier **** the bed vs the Oilers in the last game. I think if the Leafs are physical the Oilers will have a lot of problems especially with all the injuries they have.

They just have to play better than they did last time against the Oilers. Play a physical game and pick your moments.

Be nice if we just had a complete effort for this one.

Im not worried about edmonton, I think we will be able to light up a kid. Calling jvr will get his side of net goal against him. Calgary is who has me worried. 0/3 track record for the games ive been to in calgary against the buds, and im going to this one.

Well the fan support won't be an issue. At least 60/40 in favor of the Leafs. 2-3x louder than the ACC last Saturday no doubt in a small barn. Yes Calgary and Vancouver have lots of Leafs fans but they are not even CLOSE when it comes to Leafs fans in Edmonton, it's crazy.

I get worried about good skating and overall fast teams no matter who they are. We can usually skate stride for stride with them but it really puts too much pressure on our goalie.

True right you are. Philosophy of this is understood correctly here and nice to see that.

Oilers are too young to understand life and hockey, se we being the hardest team in the league will prevail, and win.

Didn't you say the same thing when we played the Blue Jackets? How their terrible on paper team with their, uh "Euro GM" would be DOMINATED by the super gruff Toronto Maple Leafs?

But the Leafs are the hardest team in the league :sarcasm:

That being said I think we should have beaten the Blue Jackets, and we really should beat the Oilers as well. It's nice to show up for games against strong opponents (Chicago notwithstanding) but it's really frustrating to drop games to lesser teams.

Leafs are in Edmonton right now, and will practice later today (noon time there right now).

So we should get some updates about Lupul/Kule/Fraser hopefully. Maybe something about Liles too.

If we play as physical as we can, we should win this game easily. Intimidation is the key in this game. We need to play our game not their game like last time

edit: Is Fraser or Kulemin gonna be in the game?

Did Lupul practice today? Who was Liles paired with?

Just calm down and start following some reporters (or even MapleLeafs account) on twitter rather than asking the similar questions over and over again.

Btw, Leafs haven't practiced today. They reached Edmonton an hour back. They will practise some time later today.

Right on. The hardest team in the league continues to roll. Carly's injured soldiers win almost everytime, no matter who plays and who not. Carly is that good and fine like wine.

Built for playoffs this team is. Long time coming this all has been.

To be fair, some of us don't use the utter garbage that is twitter (hate the concept). Thanks for the response!
