Avs fans going to come in here and down play him, but they should be quickly ignored.

He's been a solid player, and just a team whipping boy.

^Obviously context is important, but those are solid numbers for a solid defensive forward.

Glad to see actual facts and statistics brought into this thread.

Bitter Avs fans commenting with crap in here.

Not sure why he’s a whipping boy putting up 40+ points every single season. And mind you, the Avs have minimal secondary scoring. Our leading scorer after the big 3 is a defenseman, Tyson Barrie. At least we still have him but losing Kerfoot still stings

At least you still have who? Barrie?

Um. I don’t think you’re updated on the latest news mate

In 18-19 he played 23.1% of his shifts with MacKinnon on the ice. 25.35% with MacKinnon, Landeskog and/or Rantanen. In 17-18, he played 25.35% of his shifts with Duchene, MacKinnon, Landeskog, amd/or Rantanen.

If you think you can hide him on the 3rd line and he is still a sure thing for 40+ points, you are badly mistaken. He benefited from the Bednar blender more than anyone getting time with the big boys and PP time here and there.

He is a fine player, but I know you guys are stat watching thinking you hit a home run. Unless you put him with your big boys, he will get eaten alive.

We have two waves of big boys, not one. He's going to be going up against the other team's 3rd/4th lines with wingers who are better than him, he just needs to win faceoffs and get them the puck.

No. They said, he is being paid as a 30/35 point player. If he fails to hit 45ish, that is fine. 35 points with the Leafs depth is not out of the question. Most likely very easy. We will see.

Majority of those guys were highly touted prospects. Kerfoot was drafted in the 5th round.
