A turning point in gaming. It set the standard for how to create a third person adventure. While the story and progression may now seem dry and "cookie-cutter", that is only because it created a formula that begged to be followed.

I'll post the rest of the games. It's going to look pretty monolithic, but should still be ok.

If you replaced every one of parabola's posts in these two threads with a single gif, you'd have the same effect.

I'm not stunned that Fallout 3 finished as high as it did, but I certainly see how it happened. It's the definitive love/hate game of the past generation, if you embraced it it's in your top 5, if you thought it left the formula too much then you don't give it the time of day. Had each person done an actual Top 50, which would have been absurd, it probably doesn't finish as high as it did because there'd be so few votes for it in the 11-50 range...but just because you didn't like it doesn't mean people who did are wrong. That's only true of Twilight and Michael Bay movies.

So here's the rest of the list. All you really have to concern yourself with is the first # (its ranking), the game name, the second last # (points), and the last # (total votes received). The rest of the #s are how many votes each game received in each place (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) The ranking doesn't take into account the tiebreakers I used though, which is why you'll see some games off a bit in how I ranked them in the top 50 (as well as how I would have ranked some of them after 50).
