You sure can go Marty, Stevens and Nieds has our best players ever, but Hall is definitely the best forward we have ever had. All due respect to Patty, but this kid is worth the price of admission.

He isn't as good as Parise who wasn't as good as Verbeek, who probably wasn't as good as Muller who none of them were as good as Elias....From a pure goal scoring perspective Mogilny was the ****, even though it was a very short time here.

You forgot Kovy, who was better than Parise. I think Hall is as good as Parise, but I'm not ready to crown him as the best. He's certainly one of the most talented players we've ever had and I couldn't be happier. Oh, and he's 25. :)

Parise scored 30 or more goals in 5 of his 6 full seasons here with NJ. We never had a forward produce like that and I don't think Hall will either considering he's never had a 30 goal season in his career to date.

It's really not a fair 1-1 comparison. Take Parise's fantastic 94 point, 45 goal 2008 season. There were 39 players who hit 30 goals that year and 8 with 40.

Then look at Hall's great 2013 season where he had 27 goals and 80 points. There were 21 guys who hit 30 goals and 3 guys who hit 40. The league was quite different in just a short period of time.

By the time Parise was 25, he 160 goals, 335 points in 407 games. Hall has 139 goals, 345 points in 398 games. Quite comparable.

Hall is more dynamic than Parise for sure. His rushes, his passes, etc., are things that Parise can't match.

Hall isn't as good as Parise in net front presence and puck possession however.

Just get another finisher for Hall's line and his point total will get even better with all the assists.

Hall has better size than Parise. Makes me think he can withstand a playoff grind better. Of course we have no proof as of yet, but that is at least my hope.

Hall carries the puck way more than I remember Parise doing. Not sure if by puck possession you mean Corsi, but I could see Parise having him beat there. Parise was much dump and chase where he was terrific at winning battles and cycling the puck. By that logic, I could see him dominating Corsi a lot more whereas Hall is more using his speed and opening up the play.

Definitely less wear and tear for Hall's game though.

Wow I didn't realize how close their numbers are. I never would have thought that.

Hall is probably the 2nd best forward we've ever had, then Kovalchuk. Elias is best
