What a laugh to hear some kooks proclaiming that the NFL has a conspiracy for KC to win because of Taylor Swift.

The NFL dwarfs Taylor Swift. It absolutely does not need her to increase in popularity. In 20yrs the NFL will be even bigger and Swift will be as irrelevant as that hag Madonna is today.

Advertisers have pushed hard to shill for Travis Pfizer and his slob brother and their old mother, but in a year or two all of them will be long forgotten by the media. And I can guarantee that if Swift is still with him, she sure as all hell won’t be at Chiefs games pretending to be a fan.

Taylor takes more from Shania Twain's approach than Madonna.

Taylor also has business sense, in part of having parents with it.

She has a grasp of the exectuve/business side of the music affairs, not easy to do and not highlight. Guys like Beethoven or Leopold Mozart also had this ability. Indeed, her legacy is partly made by allowing artists to own their masters, which was something the industry never would have given away voluntarily. Football players don't nearly have that same leverage with their bosses.

And the OP also betrays a disdain for musical songwriting. She might not be 100% Mozart, but she at least 1-10% of Mozart's ability to craft a proper tune that is relatable.

If these are accurate/true, then the NFL does care about her (at least from a financialPOV)

Maybe the NFL doesn't care about her, but you clearly do.

No, my issue is with the kooks who try to insist the NFL “is rigged” and they’re planning on scripting a KC championship just because of Taylor Swiffer.

The NFL Today crew had some whack job harassing them and wanting to fight after the AFC game because he kept insisting the league had conspired against Baltimore.

If and when KC beats SF, I don’t want to hear people pushing the narrative that it was rigged to promote Pfizer Boy and his girlfriend.

Taylor Swift is over a billion and her Eras tour at least showed some degree of heavy interest amongst the populace.

OP seems like the guy who sees any female and thinks she's too female to make things happen financially or legally. She's not a high schooler, she's in her mid-30s and well established in her career.

Let’s not try to spin the misogyny angle.

An entity like the NFL will always have more staying power than any celebrity - - make or female - - will.

Twenty years ago, the popularity of the NFL was enormous. Today it’s even bigger. And twenty years from now, I would expect the NFL will be even bigger still.

Bruce Willis and Jack Nicholson were two of the coolest most popular celebrities twenty years ago. Today? Not so much.

You might have had a case 10 years ago.

Swift has defied the usually downward turn of musicians after their first splashes.

You do realize what her take was for her tour? That she has an international appeal American football does not?

Don't try to get all sophist over trying to prove a simple point: You just like football more than Taylor Swift.

The NHL might have staying power; Swift is also much more popular than hockey. So your foundation that an "entity" has more staying power leads to more popularity is nonsensical. Heck, the US government is even more destruction proof than any company or trade associations, like the NFL, therefore by your logic, the government is more popular than the NFL.

You are also ageist, trying to shove someone in their mid-30s into the 20 or teen bracket.

To further emphasize the OP's attempt to disguise his own personal opinion as the NFL's, here are two things

1. No sane f***ing company ignores the potential to increase sales of profit-making products(gear, jerseys, etc) because it already is popular
2. The NFL already recognizes her in tweets from October.

So the premise The NFL Doesn't Care About Taylor Swift is objectively false.

The NFL clearly cares about Taylor Swift because piggybacking off of her popularity to make themselves more popular to a different demographic is simply smart business and taking advantage of an opportunity.

No, this is about you just not liking her maybe because talking heads talk about her too much and it hurts the experience for you. Well, that's not a her problem. That's not even a talking heads problem. That's a you problem for not being able to get over a female celebrity being somewhat involved in the presentation of certain football games.

Furthermore, actual governments have pead for her to come to their country, writing her to tour in their countries, including Justin Trudeau(plenty of Canadians on this board, obviously) and the President of Chile.

The U.S Federal Reserve credits her with boosting the economy.

  • The first shows in Glendale were more profitable for local businesses than Super Bowl LVII.[62]

I suddenly want to be a divorce lawyer

Swift has eclipsed the star power of Madonna, who had already peaked at a younger age than Swift is right now.
What about Lady gaga? Curious
