Unfortunately everything is so bad and has been since the playoff bubble. Unfortunately again no one in the organization recognizes how bad of a position the team is really in.

i guess what I'm saying is that perhaps things will get so bad that they'll have a bottom 3 record while trying to be a WC card.

It should infuriate the f*** out of everyone in the organization and the fans that their new f***ing hire of a coach doesn't pay attention to at least the minor league players in the system. I mean if torts as a coach wants a say in any of the players he may want on the team, he should definitely pay attention to the prospects the team currently has one step below the main club. If not just leave all the roster decisions to the GM (which is chuck so the team is f***ed anyway). God this hire is every bit as bad as the AV hire.
He's been here a week, why would he follow the Phantoms? Any Phantom who might make the team in TC has NHL film from last season.

And a NHL HC wants to see the players in person, see them practice, see their skill package, their make up, their mastery of fundamentals - and you do that for a month in training camp. During the year, if he has a break, he might go with Fletcher to LHV to watch players in person to get a feel for them to flesh out scouting reports, but he's the HC of the NHL team, that should keep him busy.

Same with the draft, I might want Torts looking at film of potential first rd picks to see if they're a good fit, but after that he has better things to do than look at 300 players to comment on a 5th rd pick!

From what I've seen, About 70% of the comments online are negative about the direction of the Flyers, including Tort's hiring.
Plus, the casuals have been drifting away. Not to mention, people aren't going to have money to throw away on going to a sporting event.

I'm not positive that tort's hiring will placate the masses as much as it would have in the past.

Hopefully, everything will be so bad by 2025 that the organization will have no choice but to raze everything and start over so they can build back better and show more tolerance and pride towards building a team in the proper manner and start realizing that traditional orange Flyer man is bad

My uncle is a casual fan, he just puts them on if he sees there's a game as idle watching. He asked me to summarize Tortorella and I got as far as "Well, he's a defensive specialist." He cut me off to rant about how the last thing the Flyers need is to defend more, that they need to score, that he's tired of the Hallmark channel being more thrilling than Flyers games.

There's just no avoiding how bad they are and how miserably uneventful they've made their product. It doesn't take a hockey expert to see it. It's unavoidable.

I 100% agree with what you are saying here, in concept. The callout i have is that this team cant infuriate me personally anymore because i've accepted it's ineptitude as common practice. When you expect the organization to make dumb moves, and they go and make dumb moves, there really isnt any sense of anger anymore.

Just remember, Florida hired Maurice. And DeBoer got a job. Trotz will get a job of his choice.
Dinos still rule the earth.
At least we got a Dino who actually plays young players - that's something new around here.

He'll only play them it Fletcher lets him. Fletcher definitely wants to avoid it at all costs, but luckily his management has been so bad they may not have the cap space for enough filler veterans to block them all.
