Buffalo chicken belongs on chicken. Not on pizza. This is known.

Strong agreement from Lakehurst on this. Buffalo chicken pizza, while not quite as much of a disaster as Hawaiian pizza, is an affront. Ditto any pizza with BBQ sauce on it.

No pics but we went to Talula’s garden in olde city Philly yesterday night for dinner. It’s a long standing favorite of ours and holy smokes does it always deliver. Great cocktails—I did a peach bourbon smash that I subbed in their select barrel of Dad’s Hat Rye (local distillery ten minutes from my house).

Got short ribs with polenta, wife did a shrimp and sea scallop dish. Just incredibly good. Ordered a side dish of Belgian style “frites” as well, which came with a malt vinegar aioli.

When I noticed that, I could only help but consider @Beef Invictus suggestion to drink it all. I didn’t, because it would be gross and in poor taste, but he’s invaded my head space in the worst way.

So, in pepper news, it seems like I have two small Carolina Reapers on the plant. Like, SMALL. It's approx 1.5 months till frost and I was willing to try to overwinter that particular plant anyway, so my only chance of seeing them ripen is if they manage that indoors. We'll see.

Also, today I took a small piece of Mushroom Red Hot pepper to taste and it was HOT. Tried to save the situation w milk, that turned out to be spoiled. If I die, I die.

Edit: my stomach right now is NOT happy with this sequence of events

When I make pizza i fry my pepperoni very briefly as well. Much better pizza

Bakeria 1010 buffalo chicken pizza, “K-pop” pizza(Korean bbq chicken). Both were fantastic, and enormous.

Josie Kelly’s bangers and mash, with a special guest appearance by “Happiness is a warm gun”

Finally my plate of toast with the astronomical amount of butter that I scrapped off from the Windjammer.

Prices in OC, NJ jumped massively.
Dinner for 5 with one drink at Josie Kelly’s was $96.
Breakfast for 5 at Uncle Bills was a staggering $86.
Off island was much better price wise, the windjammers breakfast was $50-ish

Since our discussion about pizza the other day....

Wife was doing one with pesto, and a garlic fingers w/ham
Mine, note the layer of salami, then ham, then added cheese

Mine added pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms to the ham and salami. Topped with a little more cheese, Italian seasoning. Extra pepperoni to dip!
