perfect, i just posted about this in the around the NHL thread.

we may have better chances catching up the Caps. They're in a slump, we have 2 games in hand, 7 pts back and one match against them.

They also have a very tough schedule.

We only get one break for more than a day betwee San Jose and the Rangers

I think that's good: long breaks can lead to funks (for reference see, 2007 SCF :facepalm:)

It's certainly looking like we should be setting our eyes on Washington moreso than Boston

It's nice to see us above Florida in the standings. Now I won't have to keep hearing about how they're the dark horse team to make the playoffs.

Depends in what way you look at it. It could be our best friend if you look at it from a certain angle. I mean, competing Boston for a long stretch does not favor us since they clearly are a better team in this point of time. But in a compact set of games, which are remaining in the season could actually give us a better chance to keep up with them and give them a run for their money.

We have made up ground on the Caps despite staying stationary, or losing ground in Tuesday's case, against the Bruins.

Hopefully that trend continues.

We need to beat some teams we've struggled against. Team needs to turn it on versus Washington, Boston, Carolina, Pittsburgh and tampa.

Dont quote me but those seem like really tough games

Actually, Bruins and Caps have two more remaining games against each other - this Sunday and April 8th. The outcome of these games will be significant for our playoff chances. Hopefully both games will be decided in regular time.
